One of the hallmarks of the radical left is their horror of the idea that somebody, somewhere, is having a good time. For evidence of this, just look at how the legacy media is handling this second Trump administration, which is very different from the first - and which everyone involved in seems to be having a ball. 

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who seems to be having the best time of all and teaching the legacy media and Democrats (but I repeat myself) a thing or two while she's at it, notes correctly that this is precisely why the legacy media is troubled - because Team Trump is "having so much fun."

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Wednesday during an interview that the press was having a hard time with the Trump administration "genuinely having so much fun."

"I think that's something the press are having a hard time with. We are genuinely having so much fun, and this is why you're seeing them obsess over Elon Musk and President Trump, and they're trying so hard but failing to drive a wedge in that relationship, because they love those sensational stories of trying to pin people against each other," Leavitt told the hosts of the "Ruthless" podcast.

"As staff and the president himself is having the time of his life, I mean he loves doing these Oval Office press conferences," she continued.

Well, the legacy media isn't going to stand for that. I mean, the resurgent Donald Trump, enjoying himself? This can't be allowed!

What must really sting about all this is not only the Trump administration's shakeup of the White House press, not only the fact that he appears to be having a good time, not only that he is actually carrying out a fundamental transformation of our federal government - like Barack Obama promised but never did - but that he's actually talking to the media.

Remember on Inauguration Day, when he went to the Oval Office, resumed his place at the Resolute Desk, and chatted for quite a while with the press while signing executive orders? The press that he invited in? Remember him chatting, answering questions, cracking jokes?

Remember when Joe Biden did that? Oh, wait, he never did. He couldn't manage press appearances unless everything was carefully screened and stage-managed, unless he was given a card with pictures of the reporters he was to call on, unless he and the press were both prepped in advance - what was to be asked and when.

President Trump takes the opposite tack; he appears to operate on the principle of "ask what you please, I'll either answer or I won't," with nothing planned or screened ahead of time. And he's taking a lot of questions.

Trump has repeatedly fielded questions from reporters in the first few weeks. The president has reportedly taken over 1,000 press questions already. 

"I mean that is the most accessible president we've ever had, and it's a question on every topic under the sun, and again he did it with his entire cabinet sitting around him, the transparency and the accessibility, and they don't say it on the air, but they will tell you off the record that they are pleased with that," Leavitt said. 

And, yes, he appears to be having a pretty good time. And no, the legacy media and Democrats (again, I repeat myself) just simply can't stand that. Is anyone to the ideological left of Fidel Castro having fun? This cannot be allowed!
