This Is CNN: Left-Wing Network Platforms a Psychopath, Compares Trump to Cold-Blooded Murderer

Against all odds, CNN has managed to find a new low amidst a vast history of lows. In a stunning, unconscionable interview with Taylor Lorenz, the left-wing network platformed a murder-apologist and then compared President Donald Trump to cold-blooded killer Luigi Mangione.

Mangione is currently awaiting trial after allegedly shooting UnitedHealthcare executive Brian Thompson in the back, with the crime being caught on camera. That turned the killer into a celebrity on the far left, with many seeing him as a symbol of resistance against whatever deranged grievances they've manufactured in their heads.

Lorenz has positioned herself as one of Mangione's biggest fans, and for that, CNN thought, "Hey, let's have her on." But it'd have been one thing had they pushed back on the former writer for The Washington Post. Instead, CNN correspondent Donie O'Sullivan did something truly unbelievable.

We'll get there, but let's start with Lorenz.

LORENZ: It's hilarious to see these millionaire media pundits clutching their pearls about someone stanning a murder when this, this is the United States of America, as if we don't lionize criminals. As if we don't stan murderers of all sorts, and we give them Netflix shows. There's a huge disconnect between the narratives that sort of the mainstream media pushes and what the American public feels, and you see that in moments like this.

And I can tell you, I saw the biggest audience growth that I've ever seen because people were like, oh, somebody, some journalist is actually speaking to the anger that I feel.

O'SULLIVAN: The women that gather outside court [in] New York...

LORENZ: So, you're gonna see women that feel like, oh my God, right, like here's this man who's revolutionary, who's famous, who's handsome, who's young, who's smart. He's a person who seems like this morally good man, which is hard to find.

What you see in that excerpt is outright psychotic. According to the footage we have, Mangione took a gun and shot an innocent husband and father as a political protest. What was Thompson's great sin? Leading a health insurance company that provides access to care that millions of people would otherwise not have. He didn't design the system to be the way it is. He's not in charge of whether government politicians vote for "universal healthcare" or not. He wasn't guilty of anything, though Lorenz believes he deserved to be summarily executed.

This is what happens when one's "morality" is not backstopped by Judeo-Christian values but is instead subject to whatever one feels in the moment. Lorenz is the perfect representation of the depravity of man, so eaten up with hatred and jealousy that they'd not only excuse murder but celebrate it. It's also clear that she's in love with Mangione, which makes this all the more creepy and insane.

But while you could chalk up Lorenz's comments to probable mental illness, CNN is supposed to be a responsible news network. That's what makes this next part all the more galling.

O'SULLIVAN: I just realized women will literally date an assassin before they swipe right on my. That's for real. I'm sure you wouldn't like to be compared to a Trump supporter, but some of those, some of how people can not understand why people have sympathies for Mangione strikes me as the same as a lot of the media not understanding why people support Trump.

LORENZ: I totally agree.

O'SULLIVAN: It's because a lot of people are just really, really desperate.

So this CNN correspondent, who is apparently perfectly happy to announce how women reject him online, thinks people rallying around an alleged murderer is the same as people rallying around the current President of the United States, who, last I checked, has never assassinated anyone. There really is no bottom, and if you watch the video, O'Sullivan isn't just letting Lorenz talk. He's nodding and laughing the whole time, as if this is all one big joke.

With that said, the easy thing to do would be to only focus on the lunatics in the above clip. The truth is, O'Sullivan didn't dream this up on his own, and he didn't green-light it to go on air. CNN's executives and producers are ultimately responsible, and they deserve to be shamed into oblivion.
