Maryland 'City Equity' Official Makes Racist Statements, Calls for Violent Rebellion

When is racism OK?

Sensible people would say, "Never." That's how principles work. If racism is wrong, then it's wrong no matter who is judging anyone by an immutable characteristic like melanin content. If racism is hateful and wrong, then it's hateful and wrong no matter which direction the needle points. Principles are immutable.

This brings us to the city of College Park, Maryland, and their "racial equity leader," Kayla Aliese Carter, and her racist and hate-filled public remarks.

Kayla Aliese Carter supports "Black liberation" through revolutionary means and said she is working with some activists to plan "how we will eat and live and grow after we burn it all down." She was hired to be a "Racial Equity Officer" under Mayor Fazlul Kabir in 2022.
In this role, she oversees an entire team tasked with implementing a "racial equity" agenda across all city departments, affecting policies, practices, programs and budgets.
Carter was hired after Mayor Kabir signed into law "Resolution 20-R-16," "which renounced systemic racism, declared support of Black lives, and called for the ongoing explicit and conscious confrontation of racism," in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd in 2020.

Well, this is an interesting way to address this issue: Hire a virulent, hate-driven racist to "confront" racism. And Kayla Aliese Carter is a virulent, hate-filled racist.

The header for her X account says the following: "I can't wait for society to collapse so MY ideology can rise from the ashes!"
"Today I cohosted and occupied space with dozens of people who have committed their lives, businesses, and money to Black liberation. On all days, every day, each day. Light workers. Already planning (BEEN PLANNING) for how we will eat and live and grow after we burn it all down," she wrote in May 2020.
Another post from May 2020 reads, "Do y'all understand why the oppressed are constantly shamed out of using violence?? BECAUSE THE OPPRESSOR WANTS TO BE THE SOLE PROFITEER OF VIOLENCE. THEY DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH BACK TALK. 'DO AS I SAY NOT AS I DO' FACE A--. No."

This is a person who is advocating not only for revolution but for violent, racist revolution, and her salary is paid by the taxpayers of College Park, Maryland. This is the foreseeable end state of the "Diversity, Equity, Inclusion" movement that, description notwithstanding, is fundamentally divisive.

This is a person who has called for societal collapse — and that's funny because, in the event of a real, no-s**t societal meltdown, urban activists like Carter won't be coming out on top in the end. That's the problem leftist agitators would face in any actual revolution or collapse; nutbars like Carter always imagine they'll be the ones walking around with clipboards when the history of these kinds of events tells us that it's much, much more likely that these known troublemakers will be the ones that end up seriously regretting their involvement.

This is a person whose salary is paid by the people of College Park, Maryland.

For her work in the city government, Carter makes $75,600, which is slightly above the average salary for the state at $69,750.

That's not all that much as government graft goes, but it's about $75,600 more than she deserves; it's difficult to see any gain for the taxpayers of College Park, Maryland, by having this virulently racist, insurrectionist agitator in the city government.

The left has been beating the "insurrection" drum ever since January 6th, 2021, when the event on that day — as I've been saying ever since — was nothing more than hooliganism at worst. This person, a government employee, is calling for a real insurrection; she is literally calling for "burning it all down." We can take some wry satisfaction in knowing that, in any real major societal event, things will not unfold anywhere near where Carter thinks they will. But that does not make her any less a detestable racist, nor does it make wasting the taxpayer's money on her salary any less egregiously stupid.

One final remark from Carter is particularly giggle-inducing:

"I need a new job but the problem is that I don't want to work I just wanna lay in my bed being a girl can anyone help me with this?" Carter said in January.

Yeah, I have an idea: The city of College Park, Maryland, needs to fire her and the entire "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion" office. They provide no benefit to the taxpayers. None. Then, Kayla Aleise Carter can lay in her bed all day, just as she wants.
