Now on to the craziness that is in this country today.

The United States — and, in fact, the world — today seems to be hell-bent on taking the opposite view on things that have been universally accepted norms for the entire history of the big blue marble we call Earth. We must stop the normal operation of how things are done based on li’l annoying things like facts because feelings are now involved.

Those feelings mean more than anything else in the universe and you had better heed those gooey proclamations.

As my colleague Brandon Morse wrote late last month about what our sister site P.J. Media went through (maybe it is our brother site?) —  PJ Media Stands Their Ground After Twitter Locks Account for “Misgendering” Rachel Levine — calling out what is reality can land you in social media jail.

What did PJ Media do?

They stated a scientific fact: that Rachel Levine is not a female. He is, in fact, a male.

The article that the tweet contained refused to accept Biden’s claim that Levine was the “first-ever female four-star admiral” of the U.S. Public Health Services (USPHS) Commissioned Corps.

Duh.

So the argument that women can do anything men can do has now somehow morphed into women can actually become men and vice versa. Plus it will be backed up by the government and you will need to recognize this as fact. How this makes sense in any rational society is beyond a logical person’s comprehension but no one has accused the government of being rational lately.

The latest example of this confusion comes from the state of New Hampshire, where a student claims he was suspended for one football game for stating a well-known scientific fact:

A New Hampshire teenager is suing his school district after he was allegedly suspended from athletics for saying there are “only two genders.”

The Exeter High School freshman said in the suit that he was hit with a one-game football suspension in September stemming from a text conversation he had with another student off school grounds.

The lawsuit was filed Nov. 4 through an attorney with the Christian organization Cornerstone Action with the claim that he stated a Catholic-based belief that there are only male and female genders, the Portsmouth Herald reported.

The kid’s lawsuit also claims Exeter’s policy on non-binary gender identity and pronouns infringes on his First Amendment rights.

The policy says students have the right to be addressed by a name and pronoun of their choosing related to their gender identities and also says those who don’t recognize others’ gender identities or pronouns are violating the policy.

The student doesn’t deny he violated the policy, the lawsuit says, according to the Herald.

“He in fact denied, and will continue to deny, that any person can belong to a gender other than that of ‘male’ or ‘female’” the lawsuit says.

I for one, have not lost sight of the fact that the state that has a motto of “Live Free or Die” is encouraging people to demand that the First Amendment be damned and you acknowledge someone’s feelings as fact. You can hear the Russians and the Chinese laughing at us, can’t you?

That any student is being targeted for stating the obvious to grind a politically correct talking point is absurd. That a private text conversation is used as part of that ax-grinding highlights the extent to which these people will go to try to ruin anyone’s life to grind that ax. This crap is purely evil.
