White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt tore into Democrat lawmakers planning to protest President Trump's address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday after reports surfaced that some members planned to disrupt his speech using noisemakers, hand clappers, and egg cartons.

Leavitt went after those rogue protesters in La Résistance during an interview with Brian Kilmeade on Fox & Friends, saying that rather than protesting, they should stand up and applaud the man that Americans clearly support.

"I think, frankly, the Democrats should think about if they should stand up in applause for some of the things President Trump will be talking about," she said. "He's bringing common sense back to this country."

"Look at Democrats yesterday. Forty-five Senate Dems voted against keeping men out of women's sports," Leavitt added. "How can you be against that when 80 percent of the country is for it?"

They're against it because they lack the aforementioned common sense.

That lack of common sense is shining through in a recent Axios report indicating some Democrat lawmakers are hoping to find novel ways to protest Trump's speech. And by "novel ways," I mean "they asked their kids for ideas."

"A wide array of props — including noisemakers — has also been floated," Axios revealed.

The report suggests that Democrats may use their little ping pong paddles made of popsicle sticks with messages written on them as well, à la Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) during last year's speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as egg cartons to protest inflation, something they were big fans of for four years.

They might also be bringing hand-clappers and coordinating the color of their outfits. It's pre-school in Congress, ladies and gentlemen!

No word on whether those outfits will also feature kente cloths or if those particular political props are out of style these days.

Nothing will quite capture their seriousness on the matter if we all watch President Trump mention the Gulf of America tonight, and an entire section of Democrats sporting blue and yellow scarves and ties start blowing on those little paper party horns in unison.

Remember those reports that Democrats were "lost and rudderless" following their devastating defeat in the 2024 elections? Yeah, this is an example of that. That, along with creepily coordinating messaging and trying to storm federal buildings as their other means of protest.

If bringing props to Trump's address that would make Carrot Top blush doesn't get the job done, the report also states some Democrats may "sit stone-faced and refuse to clap."

How would that be different from any other time in their miserable existence since November? No matter, Trump's speech, as Leavitt points out, will be "must-see TV."
