A professor at the University of Austin ingeniously teaches students about "good and evil" by having them read the writings of some of the 20th century’s most evil people, including Adolf Hitler’s chief propagandist, Joseph Goebbels.
Spoiler: I think it's absolutely brilliant.
Professor Marietta, who says Goebbels used "emotional appeal" to lure people to evil, also includes the writings of Karl Marx, Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, and other bad guys in his course.
In the course, which just began its first semester, students are "challenged to confront difficult concepts, including the ideologies that led to deaths of millions in the 20th century.” Is it too obvious to point out that the "evils" of Donald Trump (AKA "Hitler"), as spewed by the Democrat Party and left-wing media, pale in comparison?
Marietta shared additional information about the non-credit course in a phone interview with The College Fix:
To be clear, part of the course is reading propaganda. There are essays where Goebbels doesn’t even mention anti-Semitism. The goal is to get people to nod along with the other arguments of socialism. They were using this emotional appeal. They’re leading you down a criminous path.
“We need to understand the anti-Semites," Marietta said, adding: "I think studying it in this way helps students understand this modern-day world." And as I earlier suggested, it puts the left's use of the very word — "evil" — into historical, and proper, perspective.
This X post nailed it:
Why does the deep state legacy media keep trying to blame Trump, JD Vance, and MAGA patriots for political violence.
Simple:"Accuse the other side of that which you are guilty" - Joseph Goebbels
Perhaps Goebbels, were he still alive, would envy the rage rhetoric of today's Democrat Party.

The course syllabus states, in part:
Propaganda stands between the idea and the worldview, between the worldview and the state, between the individual and the party, between the party and the nation. [Propaganda is] the forerunner to state control.
Are you reminded of a Democrat Party near you that seeks to control every aspect of our lives, from what we say to what we read to which cars we drive to how we heat our home to which firearms we can't have?
Me, too.

The Bottom Line
Some — particularly those on the left — might scoff at the notion of conflating today's radicalized Democrat Party with Nazi Germany under Hitler or Italy under Fascist dictator Mussolini.
Then again, Hitler was appointed chancellor of Germany in 1933 following a series of electoral victories by the Nazi Party, and general elections in Italy led to Mussolini's National Fascist Party's rise to power.
The point: Neither Hitler's Nazis nor Mussolini's Fascists were considered to be the bad guys at the time.
Yet the Democrats compare Trump to Hitler every 10 minutes. Go figure.
Wake up, my Democrat friends.
