According to ABC News, “two high-level Clinton donors” say that Hillary Clinton claimes that Vladimir Putin’s alleged involvement in the hacking of the Democrats’ organizations during the 2016 presidential election was the result of grudge Putin holds against Hillary.

Hillary confessed to being the cause of Russia’s meddling in the U.S. presidential election during her so called “thank you” party for those who donated millions to her presidential campaign. The party was thrown at the Manhattan Plaza Hotel once owned by Donald Trump.

Putin’s grudge isn’t over Hillary’s botched Russian reset. In October, just a few weeks before the election, The New York Times reported that Putin has “long harbored a grudge” against Hillary:

But it is clear that if Mrs. Clinton wins, she will enter the White House with a very personal grudge against Mr. Putin. He, in turn, has long harbored a grudge against her for her statements in 2011 calling into question the validity of a Russian parliamentary election.

Five years ago in this article,  the New York Times reported that Hillary “sharply criticized” Russia’s Parliamentary election:

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton sharply criticized what she called “troubling practices” before and during the vote in Russia. “The Russian people, like people everywhere, deserve the right to have their voices heard and their votes counted,” she said in Bonn, Germany.

Putin was not happy about Hillary’s criticism. According to another 2011 New York Times article, Putin accused Hillary of “inciting unrest in Russia” and said it sent a signal to demonstrators:

Prime Minister Vladimir V. Putin accused Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday of inciting unrest in Russia, as he grappled with the prospect of large-scale political protest for the first time in his more than decade-long rule.

In a rare personal accusation, Mr. Putin said Mrs. Clinton had sent “a signal” to “some actors in our country” after Sunday’s parliamentary elections, which were condemned as fraudulent by both international and Russian observers. Anger over the elections prompted a demonstration in which thousands chanted “Putin is a thief” and “Russia without Putin,” a development that has deeply unnerved the Kremlin.

Speaking to political allies as he announced the formation of his presidential campaign, Mr. Putin said that hundreds of millions of dollars in “foreign money” was being used to influence Russian politics, and that Mrs. Clinton had personally spurred protesters to action. The comments indicate a breakdown in the Obama administration’s sputtering effort to “reset” the relationship between the United States and Russia.

“I looked at the first reaction of our U.S. partners,” Mr. Putin said. “The first thing that the secretary of state did was say that they were not honest and not fair, but she had not even yet received the material from the observers.”

“She set the tone for some actors in our country and gave them a signal,” Mr. Putin continued. “They heard the signal and with the support of the U.S. State Department began active work.”

So there you have it, as Hillary said, Putin’s alleged involvement in the hacking of the Democrats’ organizations during the 2016 presidential election may well be the result of grudge Putin holds against Hillary for calling out Russia’s rigged election.
