Rep. Nancy Mace is causing some serious meltdowns on the left as she continues to see to it that women's bathrooms in the Capitol stay a woman's space. According to the left, this is just more Republican bigotry on display, and the claims that what Mace is doing is all sorts of wrong, and it's wrong particularly against... women?
That's what Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is saying, at least.
Going on a rant to reporters, AOC declared that what Mace is doing is endangering women and girls.
“It’s disgusting. And everybody, no matter how you feel on this issue, should reject it completely,” AOC declared. “They’re doing this so that Nancy Mace can make a buck and send a text and fundraise off an email. They’re not doing this to protect people.”
“They’re endangering women,” she added. “They’re endangering girls of all kinds. And everybody should reject it. It’s gross.”

And with that, AOC just disqualified the radical left from ever being taken seriously about this argument.
The hard left has a bad habit of believing that they're in possession of the reality stone, and through their words, they can just make reality whatever they want it to be. In this case, AOC is declaring that this is endangering women and girls because she equates transgender women with women and girls. To her, they're one and the same.
But they aren't. Not by a long shot. Their biology says so. Their plumbing is a solid indicator.
Moreover, it's pretty clear that there is a difference just by the name alone. Transgender people are recognized as "transgender men" or "transgender women," the "transgender" qualifier makes it clear that they are biologically the opposite sex. I think it's odd that even transgenderism's most ardent defender never want to address this fact. They love identifying as transgender, but they want you to ignore that when it comes to their actions, particularly those against women.
But biology aside, the left's rules around transgenderism make their case for it even more shaky, especially when it comes to the argument that these men should be able to access women's spaces without argument and at will.
According to the left, all you need to do in order to become a woman is to declare you're one. You don't even have to go above and beyond to look like one. You can have a full on beard. But put on some clothing that looks a little feminine, maybe add some makeup if you're feeling like going the extra mile, and if you declare you're a woman then the left will, by their own rules, have no choice but to confirm you as one.
You can probably see where I'm going here, but sadly the left won't because they forced themselves into a corner.
If I'm a pervert, or someone with a mental illness, and I want to get up to some nefarious deeds against women, all I have to do to get access to women's spaces is say you are one. Upon that declaration, the left will roll out the red carpet straight into a woman's locker room where you can sit and watch them change, record them secretly, or even assault one if you think you're alone and no one can help them.
The left says this never happens. I say it does.

The issue we have right now is that there's not actually a lot of research going into how often transgender people assault women. There hasn't yet been some grand study. You'll find plenty of data about how often transgender people are assaulted (usually by their own kind), but when it comes to their criminal exploits, the data is strangely lacking.
This allows the left to proclaim that the transgender community is pure as the driven snow, but there are two issues here. Firstly, this lack of data won't last forever. At some point, a study will be completed, and I'm pretty sure it's not going to look good.
Secondly, a lack of data doesn't indicate innocence. We do know that, according to analysts in the UK, data taken from 2007 go 2017 showed that transgender people were 58 percent more likely to murder than be murdered, which means that the stats are out there waiting to be found.

But let's ignore that, and let's say that the left is right, and transgender people are all sinless little pictures of perfection. It still doesn't matter, because the left still allows too many bad faith actors to be transgender just upon saying they are, allowing actual dangerous people into women's spaces.
That is a real danger to women and girls, and it's a danger the left leaves the door wide open for.
Thus, the left has backed itself into a corner. It can't come to terms with reality without turning its back on some of its own delusional beliefs, and as such, their entire argument about bathrooms should be ignored entirely.
