Pennsylvania's Democrat Senator John Fetterman might have been elected a Democrat at a time when his mental capabilities were certainly in question, but as his brain function improves, so too does his common sense. This is especially true when it comes to the war between Israel and Hamas, a topic that Fetterman is openly pro-Israel about in defiance of many in his own party.

Continuing his pro-Israel talk, Fetterman went on CNN for an interview with Jake Tapper. The two got onto the subject of a New York Times poll that showed young voters are blaming Israel for the war with Hamas. This didn't seem to surprise Fetterman, who began noting that the youth were getting skewed information from popular apps like TikTok, the Chinese-based video-sharing platform.

"I do know that a lot of people are getting their perspective from TikTok," said Fetterman. "And I think if you're getting your perspective on the world from TikTok, it's going to tend to be kinda warped or not reflective of the history and the way things absolutely are."

"What is clear is that Hamas started this and they actually broke the ceasefire and they attacked and murdered babies, children, women, attacked a music concert, and...it's outrageous," he added.

Fetterman explained that Israel wants peace but knows that peace can't be achieved so long as Hamas, a terrorist group dedicated to the destruction of Israel, exists.

Fetterman actually praised Joe Biden for his position on the Israel war, saying that the President's pro-Israel position is correct.

Fetterman's take on the Israel/Hamas war is right on the money. Hamas's unprovoked attack on October 7 resulted in heinous atrocities committed against innocent civilians, including women, children, and babies. However, many of the youth seem convinced that Hamas is the good guy in this war, which they are wholly mistaken about.

As Redstate previously reported, voters aged 18-24 believe Israel should be ended and given to Hamas by a shocking 51 percent. While this is a result of extremist teachings by professors and activist groups, TikTok does seem heavily biased against Israel and seems to give a lot of attention to the pro-Palestine cause.

Though, according to TikTok, it's doing its best to moderate the pro-Palestinian content to hit its platform. According to CNN, TikTok's official position is that it has a zero-tolerance policy for calls for violence or the spread of hateful ideologies:

TikTok said in a statement that, following the brutal attack by Hamas on Israeli civilians on October 7, it had “immediately mobilized significant resources and personnel to help maintain the safety of [its] community and integrity of [its] platform.”

“We do not tolerate attempts to incite violence or spread hateful ideologies,” it added. “We have a zero-tolerance policy for content praising violent and hateful organizations and individuals.”

The firm, owned by China’s ByteDance, said it had already removed more than 500,000 videos and shut down 8,000 livestream videos from the “impacted region” since the Hamas attack.

However, the youth seem to be dosed with anti-Israel content from many directions, causing them to fundamentally misunderstand the war in Gaza.
