Why, you may ask, would the Department of Justice seek to dismiss serious charges against an accused MS-13 gang leader? And why would a judge allow it?
The answer is simple: It's not one of those revolving-door justice system things, for once. Now, this accused MS-13 goblin may be deported, and since he is a member of a designated terrorist organization and an El Salvadoran national, we know where he'll be going.
A Virginia-based judge has granted the Justice Department's motion to dismiss its illegal firearm case against a Virginia-based Salvadoran national accused of being an MS-13 leader.
The FBI announced the arrest of Henrry Josue Villatoro Santos on March 27 in Woodbridge, Virginia, just south of Washington, D.C., with Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel describing him as the top MS-13 leader on the East Coast.
Villatoro Santos was charged with an illegal firearm charge at the time of his arrest.
This is a bad, bad man. And he has been in the country illegally. MS-13, a legally designated terrorist organization, richly deserves that designation. They use murder and threats of murder, along with rape and assault, as tools of their trade. There can be no place for such people now, and with this legal case out of the way, Villatoro Santos is free to be sent back to El Salvador.
Here's the kicker:
Counsel for Villatoro Santos, Muhammad Elsayed, said during the April 15 hearing that the government had not clarified what would happen to his client once the case was dismissed, suggesting Villatoro Santos would likely be "summarily deported" without any due process.
Good. Look, I get that Elsayed is doing his job; it's his task to provide his client with the best defense he can. But the Department of Justice has a job to do as well, as does the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration & Customs Enforcement. Their job is to get this goblin out of our country and back where he belongs - El Salvador.

And Elsayed is wrong about one thing: his client has had the due process he's entitled to. He's in the United States illegally. With a removal order, he can be sent back. He shouldn't have been here in the first place. In this matter, the Trump administration, through the Department of Justice, is doing what the voters put them in office to do. If, when he arrives, El Salvador chooses to drop Villatoro Santos in their Terrorism Confinement Center, then that's a choice that the sovereign nation of El Salvador has made.
For once, the taxpayers are getting a bargain, as well - something that really rings true on this, Tax Day. Now, instead of a lengthy, drawn-out trial, instead of the years of high-cost upkeep in an American prison (assuming Villatoro Santos is convicted) we get a deal; the cost of his one-way flight back to El Salvador, and whatever deal we have with that nation to maintain Villatoro Santos and others like him in what is not one of the worst prisons in the Western Hemisphere, but rather one of the best; the Terrorism Confinement Center is like a Roach Motel writ large. As the sales jingle went: "Roaches check in, but they don't check out."
Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
