CNN is burning to the ground, but it’s been on fire for quite some time. The loss of 80 percent of its audience since Zucker began his tenure as its President has been a long, slow decline that came about because the concern for actual news was at a minimum, while the focus was put more on political advocacy and propaganda.
The audience watched as too many reporters stood in front of a burning society (both figuratively and very literally) and told everyone that it’s good and right and everyone who disagrees is a Nazi, a racist, or some form of a modern villain. Naturally, they got sick of it and changed the channel, never to return.
But the underlying problem is that CNN’s corruption didn’t just come with being one of the world’s most famous news outlets. It was tied to Democrats very closely, and there are few institutions more corrupt than the Democrat Party. That corruption, with all its power, money, and influence, bled into CNN, transforming it into an entity that was hardly indistinguishable from the Party itself, or its activists.
That corruption brought forward more problems than just promotion of the Party’s narrative. The corruption also included immoral behavior and the utilization of power to hide it from the public.
Chris Cuomo, the producers arrested on charges of pedophilia, and now Zucker. All gone, all had something to do with sexual impropriety.
This all occurred under Zucker’s leadership and an environment that toxic is that toxic because the poison is trickling from the top down. The person in charge goes a long way in crafting the working environment, and Zucker not only took part in it in a way but apparently there’s something not lining up about his version of the story.
According to Fox News, it’s suspected that the timeline between Zucker and Allison Gollust is apparently off by a lot:
WarnerMedia faces mounting pressure to investigate a widely disputed claim by CNN marketing chief Allison Gollust, who said her relationship with ousted network boss Jeff Zucker changed during the coronavirus pandemic.
“No question Allison lied in her statement that they didn’t become intimate until COVID. It’s amazing she can say that with a straight face,” a media industry veteran who has worked with Gollust told Fox News Digital.
…
The media industry veteran, who worked with Zucker and Gollust roughly a decade ago at NBC, said “everybody knew” they were a couple well before they joined CNN. Gollust is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for CNN Worldwide.
“I think Warner is obligated to do a further investigation to determine she lied and fire her,” the insider continued. “Can’t have a chief of comms for a news org who lies.”
So Zucker wasn’t just having an inappropriate relationship, he was doing quite a bit to lie about it. Again, this is the behavior set as the standard by the man at the top…so what was happening below him in the shadows?
We know it reached very dark depths due to the two producers charged with pedophilia. It’s the darkest depth you can get to, and I can’t imagine that there isn’t more between that and extramarital affairs.
There’s no possible way that what we’ve seen so far is all there is. There has to be more and I think that the wise move from WarnerMedia would be to do a full investigative sweep of the network, find what else is going on that isn’t being discussed, fire all those involved, and almost rebuild the organization from the ground up.
I’m not advocating for a scorched earth approach as I’m sure that are some good and honest people working at the network who don’t deserve to have their livelihoods destroyed, but I’m willing to put money on the fact that there are a lot people there who don’t just deserve to be fired but deserve jail time to boot.
To me, given what we’ve seen, it would almost be a moral imperative for WarnerMedia to begin cleaning house and unearthing all there is to find. This place is clearly a cesspool of corruption and impropriety, and it needs to be cleansed.
The smoke at CNN indicates a lot more fires we’ve yet to discover.
