By now, you’ve probably seen some of the material recovered from Hunter Biden’s iCloud backup, and if you haven’t, I wouldn’t recommend seeking it out. The stuff on it is as grotesque and disturbed as you’d imagine, and in many cases, explicitly so.

Apparently, Hunter Biden fancied himself some kind of crack-smoking porn star, and part of that was getting women via escort services to fulfill his depraved fantasies. Whether those services (one of which was Russian) crossed legal boundaries into human trafficking isn’t known. Still, prostitution is illegal, and the president’s son paid $30,000 to escorts over just a five-month period. Where did that money come from? As I reported prior, none other than Joe Biden.

Regardless, it sure looks like Hunter Biden’s sexcapades broke federal law. Why? Because he apparently trafficked the prostitutes across state lines.

Prosecutors may have a case for federal prostitution offenses against Hunter Biden, according to documents, texts and videos that show he spent a staggering $30,000 on escorts in a five-month period…

…Texts from Hunter’s iPhone also show him handwriting checks disguised as medical services to escorts supplied by Moreva, whose website offers a ‘girlfriend experience’ with prostitutes as young as 20.

Some of Hunter’s hooker payments came just hours after he received thousands of dollars from his father.

Videos and pictures show Hunter helping transport those prostitutes over state lines for a debauched night with him – a potential federal offense.

I’m not sure there’s any “potential” about it. What Hunter Biden did does appear to violate the Mann Act, which prohibits the transportation of women across state lines for prostitution. At this point, it’s really more of a question of whether the DOJ is willing to do anything about it. Given Hunter Biden’s father oversees that department, I wouldn’t hold your breath on AG Merrick Garland making any big moves.

Regardless, potential illegality involving prostitutes may be the least of Hunter Biden’s worries. As CBS News’ Catherine Herridge shared last week, the federal investigation into the First Son spans multiple serious topics, from money laundering to tax fraud. Any charges involving his sexual deviancy may end up just being a value-add for prosecutors.

Of course, that’s if the US attorney in Delaware, David Weiss, who is handling the case has the backbone to see this through. You can bet he’s going to get (and probably already has gotten) some serious pressure to let this go as things escalate. Will he stand tall, even in the face of possible retribution or dismissal? I don’t have the answer to that, but I certainly hope he understands the gravity of this moment and why it is imperative that the president not be allowed to protect his son.

The American justice system has long shown itself to be corrupt, specifically favoring certain monetary and political classes. The only reason Hunter Biden is not already in jail is because of who his father is. If the DOJ actually follows the law here and goes after him like they would any other person, that could restore some small bit of credibility to the tattered department.
