BREAKING: Al Green Faces the Music As House Votes on Punishment After Trump Speech Outburst

Donald Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress was hailed by many on both sides as a masterpiece, but House Democrats weren’t appreciative and pouted, made disturbances, held childish signs, and just generally acted like a party that never wants to get votes again. It was a despicable performance as they couldn’t even clap or stand for moving moments that in the past would have been considered bipartisan, like when a 13-year-old cancer survivor was made a Secret Service agent or when the president announced that we’d captured one of the top terrorists behind the 2021 Abbey Gate bombing.

No one was more emblematic of Democrat failure than Texas Rep. Al Green, who interrupted the speech by impotently waving his cane like a loony tune on a city street, yelling incoherently like the weird guy on the corner in a blue-run city, and Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) had him removed from the chamber.

Now Green is facing the consequences:

He has been formally censured:

House lawmakers have voted to censure Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, after he was thrown out of President Donald Trump's address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night.

Ten Democrats joined Republicans in voting for the measure. Green himself voted "present," along with first-term Rep. Shomari Figures, D-Ala.

"Al Green's childish outburst exposed the chaos and dysfunction within the Democrat party since President Trump's overwhelming win in November and his success in office thus far. It is not surprising 198 Democrats refused to support Green's censure given their history of radical, inflammatory rhetoric fueled by Trump Derangement Syndrome," House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., told Fox News Digital.

Not wanting to go down without a fight, the Democrats continued to make fools out of themselves with weird demonstrations and obstructions that made them look like schoolchildren:

Before the formal censure could be read out to Green, however, Democrats upended House floor proceedings by gathering with the Texas Democrat and singing "We shall overcome." Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., was forced to call the House into a recess after failing multiple times to quell the protest.

At this point, the Democrats seem lost, silly, and scrambling for any sort of relevance as they flail with juvenile antics and beg for attention. They’re getting that attention, but not in the way they would want. It’s almost impossible to take them seriously anymore. Try to keep a straight face when you see this absurdity, which Bonchie reported on:

The censure of Green is 100 percent warranted, as he disrupted an official Congressional proceeding. The real reckoning, however, will continue to come at the ballot box, and as we saw in November, Americans are getting tired of unserious Democrats doing performative theater instead of making life better for their constituents.

Another Al Green has a message that the Dems apparently missed:

President Trump's speech to a joint session of Congress has radical Democrats in panic mode, and their childish protests won't stop all of the winning.
