The one thing that Democrats don't seem to get is that, for the most part, video and written recorded history is forever. Vice President Kamala Harris may be finding that out the hard way as she tries to flip and flop on the radical positions she has espoused in the past that are all on video. But as the Democrats fundraise for the Harris campaign, they are reverting to some of their less-than-appealing practices. Seemingly for fundraising purposes, because it certainly couldn't be for optics, they are holding online Zoom call "rallies" that are segregated by race and gender:
Will Kamala Harris campaign events be segregated? Or just those organized by her supporters? pic.twitter.com/u2WSY1emLG

You would think that before they attempt to revise history, they might just read a bit of it. If they did, they would find out that the Democrat Party's track record on segregation is nothing to cheer about. The watershed 1964 Civil Rights Act, which outlawed racial segregation in public, passed in the Senate by a margin of 73-27. Of the 27 "no" votes, 21 were Democrats. The bill passed in the House by a margin of 289-126, of the 126 "no" votes, 91 were Democrats. The infamous "Dixiecrat Party," begun by Democrat Senator Strom Thurmond, was formed in opposition to integration.
The Democrats' high-tech version of segregation in 2024 began on July 21 with a Zoom call organized by "Win With Black Women," a group that claimed the event had 44,000 participants. The next day, there was another Zoom call. This time it was "Black Men for Harris." The call organizers also claimed roughly 45,000 participants. On July 22, "White Dudes for Kamala" appeared, which featured a slew of beta males including actors Jeff Bridges and Josh Gad, Russia collusion fomenter extraordinaire Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), and singer Josh Groban. To reiterate the fact that all were welcome, the Director of the Working Families Party, Maurice Mitchell, who is black, joined the call.
Another celebrity participant, actor Bradley Whitford, called the gathering, "a rainbow of beige." Groban, who apparently failed to grasp the irony of the call, stated that "'the other side's' politics are based on fear and against unity." Groban continued, and added a word salad worthy of the Harris herself, saying:
“The idea that to celebrate the beauty of our similarities and the beauty of our differences is somehow a scary thing. That somehow equality and prosperity are not mutually exclusive.”

But perhaps the most cringe-worthy Zoom call came on July 25 with the appearance of "White Women for Kamala." Renowned junk dealer Fred Sanford once remarked, "Ain't nothin' on earth uglier than a 90-year-old white woman." The addendum to that is that there is nothing on earth sillier than a liberal white woman. This call claimed a whopping 200,000 participants, raising around $8.5 million. But if you were a white chick for Kamala, you also got something extra for your participation, a lecture that was both nauseating and arrogant from social media creator Arielle Fodor, who had this to say:
“As white women, we need to use our privilege to make positive changes. If you find yourself talking over or speaking for bipoc individuals, or God forbid, correcting them, just take a beat and instead we can put our listening ears on."
But let's make it interesting. Maybe the best question for all of this is, why a Zoom call? Why not have all of these rallies in person? Because the optics of it would not be helpful to Democrats? Not enough unity going on at an in-person "White Dudes for Kamala" rally?
This is the same party that is obsessed with dividing Americans based on skin color, gender, age, income, and anything else you can think of, and actually doing it on a fundraising Zoom call, but blather on incessantly about "unity."
With the Democrat party being made up of coalitions of various groups, the Harris campaign may be looking at scheduling a lot more Zoom "rallies":
I really appreciate Kamala Harris campaign events being segregated by race and look forward to how she applies this to the country.
