Planning on Some MAGA Shredding? You Need an 'American Eagle' Trump Guitar!

President-elect Donald Trump, as we've seen in his famous impromptu "Dad dance" bits, is a guy who likes to cut a rug. He's also apparently a guy who appreciates some rock 'n' roll, as anyone who has seen one of his famous mass rallies will attest. As my colleague Rusty Weiss recently wrote, it's even started to catch on with "athletes across every sport, media personalities, and young folks" across the country.

Perhaps that's part of the reason he's now offering a limited run of "45" guitars, both acoustic and electric:

President-elect Trump on Wednesday announced the sale of a limited number of "45" guitars on his social media site.

"Coming Soon! The Limited Edition ‘45’ Guitar. Only 1,300 of each Acoustic and Electric Guitars MADE — Some personally signed!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The "American Eagle" series of guitars features the "Make America Great Again" phrase inlaid in "authentic pearl" on the neck of the guitar and the number "45" on the headstock, referring to his time as the 45th president of the United States. Images of the American flag and a bald eagle are also featured on the instruments.

Maybe if Kamala Harris had done a little shredding on the campaign trail, she may have seemed a little less... boring.

Donald Trump is, of course, a marketing guy, a salesman, and a promoter. He's best at promoting what he believes in - his brand, that brand being "Trump." That is in large part what led to his return to the White House in the most amazing political comeback since Grover Cleveland. Now he's hawking guitars, and there's little doubt they'll sell:

Some of the guitars are autographed by Trump, which will cost buyers $10,000, according to the website where they are sold. Only 275 are available.

Those without his signature range from $1,250 to $1,500. Only 1,000 of each are available. All "American Eagle" series guitars in stock will arrive by Christmas, the website states.

Guitars in the "Presidential Series," which feature the Trump name and come in a plain red, yellow or black, will run about $2,000. Delivery will take up to six months.

And, of course, folks like music. Part of President-elect Trump's (still not tired of typing that) strategy was appealing to the younger demographics, and younger folks love some good guitar work, right? Some people are, of course, denying that Trump was able to appeal to those young folks, but those people are surely lyres.

In his time, Donald Trump has sold everything from steaks to perfume to Bibles and sneakers, so this move isn't all that surprising, nor is it anything to fret about. This promotional stunt is little treble for a man of Trump's wealth and energy, and you never know what might strike a chord with the public. But the promotion evidently has its limits. There is a rumor floating around that the president-elect recorded a video of himself trying to play one of the instruments to upload to X, but apparently, it was so bad that he was afraid of getting band.

I'm reminded of the woman who was on trial for repeatedly cracking her husband over the head with his guitars. Then the judge asked her, "First offender?" She replied, "No, first a Gibson, then a Fender."

Speaking of great guitar work: This seems appropriate.
