This is really going to get ugly when Bernie does NOT get the nomination.

In another clear indication that Bernie Sanders supporters are just Bernie Sanders supporters and will take their ball and go home if Sanders is not the nominee, they did just that in a mock scenario. On Monday at Iowa’s Drake University a mock Iowa caucus was held and when the tide went against Bernie Sanders his supporters took their signs and left in protest.

Supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders (I-VT) left a mock caucus at Iowa’s Drake University in protest after Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) won and Sanders failed to meet the event’s “viability threshold.”

With voting in Iowa’s statewide caucuses just a week away, colleges held simulations of the events across the state Monday night. NBC News campaign embed Ben Pu covered the Drake University mock caucus, and reported that after the first round, only Warren and former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg exceeded the 15 percent viability threshold.

Now, the deal with caucuses in Iowa is different than in most places. The first round has people go stand in the corner assigned to their fav candidate and you need to get to 15% of the total people in that room. People supporting candidates that do not meet that threshold are encouraged to go to other candidates’ camps that have made the cut. This makes horsetrading for support in each caucus a unique thing all over Iowa on this night.

When Bernie received just around 11% and did not meet the minimum, the lobbying began by other camps to bring them over. The Bernie bros steadfastly refused to jump to another camp and decided to take their balls of wax and leave.

As I have written here at Red State, there is a brewing war starting and this does not bode well at all for the Democrats. One example I went over was here Poor Fella: Now Amy Klobuchar Says Bernie Should Not Lead The Ticket earlier this week.

Once Hillary slammed Bernie as being unlikeable it seemed that the green light was given to others to start taking shots at him. Even Joe Biden yesterday stated he would not necessarily support Sanders and Joe loves everyone. Literally. With his hands even.

The Sanders people are still steaming from 2016 and they are building a wall between themselves and other candidates that is bigger and not as beautiful as the Trump Wall facing Mexico. This is the clearest indication yet that they are Bernie or Bust even if it means that Trump would win reelection.

We are just FIVE days from Iowa and if this is any indication of how it will go, it will be a mess.
