These Guys….No Ratings

Maybe Alec should have stayed home on Sunday Night to watch his own show instead of going to the Jefferson-Jackson Day, I mean the Kennedy- Clinton Dinner, no, I really meant the “Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner” for the New Hampshire Dems.

Whew.

Fresh on the heels of his speech at the dinner listed above where he said the U.S Government led by President Donald Trump should be overthrown Alec Baldwin: Lets Overthrow The U.S. Government, Non-Violently, Of Course. comes word that his ratings from the first “The Alec Baldwin Show” are in.

He sucked.

According to Fox News

According to Nielsen, the premiere of “The Alec Baldwin Show” on ABC garnered just a 0.4 rating among adults 18-49, the demographic most coveted by advertisers. The Baldwin-hosted chatfest was the lowest-rated program in the demo of any broadcast network — including the CW.

By comparison, NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” matchup between the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs earned a 6.1 rating among adults 18-49, CBS’ “60 Minutes” — which featured an interview with the president — drew a 1.9 rating and the CW premieres of “Supergirl” and the reboot of “Charmed” each drew a 0.5 rating.

Now it is unfair to compare his show to the NFL ratings so I’m not even going to play with that. Yet I think it is pretty fair to compare the show to ratings on the CW or the local Government channel or watching paint dry.

Alec and Robert De Niro got beat by “Supergirl” and “Charmed.” Someone pass the crying towel over to the executive at ABC who thought this was a good idea.

Baldwin won an Emmy last year for his portrayal of Trump on Saturday Night Live so I imagine this seemed like a safe bet to hire him for an interview show but let’s face it. Alec Baldwin is good when people write things for him to say, not when he has to think of them on the fly. Unless of course, he is yelling at a reporter or his daughter.

Put another way, “The Alec Baldwin Show” drew a lower number in terms of ratings with 0.4 ratings on ABC which any household in America can get for FREE, than what Elizabeth Warren got in her genealogy score. She came in with 1/1024 to convert as a decimal to 0.0009765625…….. hold on.

Alec actually BEAT Elizabeth Warren’s Fauxcahontas score.

Good for you Mr. Baldwin. You beat a fake Indian but only because she was not a “Supergirl.” Better luck next week.
