We still don't know whose bag of cocaine was found by the Secret Service way back in early July, but we know what they found. Images of the bag, which was found in a cubby hole in the West Wing, were obtained via a Freedom of Information Act request and released today.

Last we heard, the Secret Service had reportedly told President Biden that a suspect had been identified, but the name of the suspect was never made public. The cocaine was discovered on July 2, while most of the Biden family was celebrating Independence Day at Camp David. The discovery prompted the evacuation of the West Wing and nearby street closures; an investigation ensued, but was ultimately closed without any public resolution.

Many speculated that the bag belonged to Hunter Biden, who is a self-admitted drug user, but his involvement was downplayed. Karine Jean-Pierre addressed the issue by telling the press in July, "You know, there has been some irresponsible reporting about the family and so I've got to call that out here. And I have been very clear." It is unclear if he and other Biden family members were ever interviewed by the Secret Service. 

The black and white photos released Monday show the bag sitting in what appears to be a staff locker identified by the number "50." There also appears to be a lock on the locker, so it's safe to assume that whoever was assigned that cubby had some explaining to do. 

Now that we know what the Secret Service found that day in July, perhaps there will be renewed interest in discovering who brought it into The People's House, how it got in there undetected and, if there is a suspect, what happened to that person.
