#1 - HOT TAKES: House Speaker Mike Johnson Is the Star of the SOTU Address As His Facial Reactions Go Viral — by Bob Hoge

Liberals of course are mocking and criticizing the Louisiana congressman for his subtle reactions, but let’s be real—it was nothing compared to Pelosi’s repellant shenanigans. We should actually applaud him for keeping it together through the noxious speech—I myself was extremely close to smashing my television with a hammer.

It’s got to be tough sitting behind a senile president, knowing the camera is on you the entire time, and listening to him scream at the audience and belittle and threaten the Supreme Court of the United States. If a few eye-rolls are his only pushback, then I think we should be impressed by his restraint.

#2 - Katie Porter Gave Up a Swing Seat in Congress to Lose to the Establishment — by Joe Cunningham

When she jumped into the race for the late Dianne Feinstein's Senate seat, vacating a future bid for her current seat in Congress, it seemed too good to be true. No matter what happened in this race, America would win - either Porter would win, dealing a blow to the absolutely insufferable Adam Schiff and his benefactor, Pelosi, OR Porter would lose and we would be rid of her and her absolutely unhinged behavior in Congress.

What's more, she abandoned her seat (which is seen as a swing seat) in a year when Republicans could be over-competitive in swing states and swing districts.

The results are now in: Porter fell short of her goal, and Schiff heads to a run-off against Republican Steve Garvey. What's amazing is how she just seems to have given up in the final weeks of the race.

#3 - More Bad News for Fani Willis As Megyn Kelly Drops One Final Surprise in Disqualification Matter — by Nick Arama

But in a new twist, another witness has contacted defense attorney Ashleigh Merchant after hearing Bradley's testimony and he has some big information, if it's true. 

The man, a waiter, says he observed Wade and Wade's attorney with Bradley at his restaurant about five weeks ago. 

Megyn Kelly has the voicemail. This is more than a little problematic, if true.

I give all the credit in the world to my friend Curtis Houck from Newsbusters for transcribing these exchanges so I didn't have to. I was getting a migraine just thinking about having to replay that woman's comments multiple times to get it all typed out. Crisis averted on that front.

What wasn't averted was my mind being numbed by what Griswold said. At this point, the whole "saving democracy" thing comes across as a symptom of mental illness. These people are so wrapped up in their delusions of grandeur that they believe removing their opponent from the ballot, a tyrannical move usually reserved for third-world countries, is somehow preserving fundamental rights.

While portraying oneself as the only true upholder and defender of America's ideals is a political campaign tactic that is as old as time, openly seeking out advice from celebrities who have played the role of an elected official in TV shows and movies is... most certainly not. That is unless you happen to be the octogenarian President of the United States and you desperately need help in the "looking aware and relatable" department.

Incredibly, that is exactly what Joe Biden's handlers treated voters to on Thursday, sharing to the official POTUS Twitter account a highly staged clip of the purported leader of the free world consulting via video conference with Hollywood celebrity "presidents" on how to give a good speech ahead of the State of the Union.
