South Carolina Senator (and former GOP presidential contender) Tim Scott has had a busy weekend. On Friday, Scott formally endorsed his former presidential primary opponent, Donald Trump. Then, on Saturday, Scott popped the question to girlfriend Mindy Noce on the beach in Kiawah Island, South Carolina — and she said, "Yes."

Scott, 58, first introduced the world to his then-girlfriend following the third GOP presidential debate in November. As Sister Toldjah reported at the time:
Though Scott revealed back in May that he did have a significant other in his life, he was mum on the details which is kinda understandable considering a) it's his private business and b) the mud that gets thrown in a candidate's direction on any given day.
On Wednesday night after the third GOP presidential debate, however, the mystery woman appeared on stage next to Scott where they posed for pictures and held hands, which sent media-sanctioned dirt diggers scrambling to find out who she was:

A campaign official would only confirm that the woman on stage was indeed Scott’s girlfriend and her name is “Mindy.” Online sleuthing points to the person as being Mindy Noce, a Charleston-area interior designer and mother of three.
After the debate, Scott, a 58-year old bachelor, confirmed that he had brought his girlfriend to the event, telling reporters that the two have been dating “about a year.”
This, after much speculation about his single status.

Mindy, thank you for making me the luckiest man in the world.

Scott, who's always made clear that faith is the centerpiece of his life, included a verse from Proverbs with the announcement: “He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord” - Proverbs 18:22
Scott also shared the news with fellow South Carolinian Trey Gowdy on "Sunday Night in America."
"Going to the beach and getting on one knee, and asking Mindy to marry me was so much more important than anything else, and I wanted to make sure that that sacred day would not be disturbed by anything political," Scott told Gowdy, speaking on his discussions with former President Donald Trump for an endorsement.
As a presidential candidate in the 2024 race, Scott introduced Noce during a debate back in November. They reportedly met at church approximately a year ago and bonded over Bible study.
Scott shared some additional thoughts about the challenge of taking big steps in one's private life as a public figure.
“As a guy who is mostly an introvert and on the quiet side, having to have a conversation about the engagement is a little, you know, uncomfortable in a way, but it’s the most exciting thing I’ll do with my life besides making Jesus my Lord,” Scott said in an interview Sunday.
“I’ve been very patient and prayerful, and I’m really excited and somewhat nervous, and I couldn’t be more thankful for having found a soul mate and someone who shares a lot of the same interests, passions and goals that I do,” he said.
Noce, a Charleston-area interior designer and mother of three who was previously married, was spotted Sunday at a church in Mt. Pleasant, S.C., wearing an engagement ring.
Scott remains on the shortlist of those being suggested as a potential vice presidential pick for Trump. Either way, congratulations are in order.
