Did you hear about the crack in the White House? No — I don’t mean an issue with the Executive Mansion’s foundation. I’m referring to the bag of white powdery substance discovered by the Secret Service in the White House on Sunday. After a hazmat crew was summoned to make certain it wasn’t something even more sinister, initial testing done on the substance revealed it to be cocaine — which isn’t something available for sale in the White House gift shop, near as I can tell.
How and why exactly the blow found its way into the White House remains a mystery at this point. Some news reports indicate it was discovered in the West Wing, while others report it was in the library — and Colonel Mustard apparently is unavailable for comment.
There’s certainly room for speculation. Could it have been planted by some partisan prankster? Dropped by careless cleaning staff? Or could it possibly have anything to do with the president’s son, a known drug addict who’s apparently residing at the White House for the time being?
In fairness to Hunter, he reportedly spent the weekend with his folks at Camp David. So maybe the discovery is pure coincidence. Then again, Hunter does have a notorious penchant for leaving important items behind: laptops, guns, wives, mistresses, children…Why not throw a bag of cocaine on the pile of things the scion has blithely abandoned?
