On Tuesday, we brought you the disturbing story of how the Chicago chapter of Black Lives Matter created quite the uproar with a despicable tweet they posted complete with a reprehensible graphic in support of the Hamas government's terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians.
For those who missed it, here's what they originally shared on the Twitter machine:
The official Chicago chapter of Black Lives Matter released a graphic of a Hamas paraglider with the text: "I stand with Palestine." A unit of Hamas militants used paragliders and hang gliders to launch their armed massacre of civilians in southern Israel. BLM, like Antifa, has… pic.twitter.com/ATN2d4sAcf

As we also noted, soon after the tweet was posted it was Community Noted to point out that "On October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists in paragliders attacked a music festival in Israel, killing over 260 people."

In an update to this story, Black Lives Matter Chicago has deleted the tweet in question (original link here, archived link here). But anyone who thought they might have pulled the offensive image/statement due to an attack of conscience or reconsideration of their position was in for a rude awakening, as they posted an updated tweet Wednesday morning seemingly apologizing for the graphic - while including a text version which confirmed every single thing their original tweet conveyed:
Yesterday we sent out msgs that we aren’t proud of. We stand with Palestine & the people who will do what they must to live free. Our hearts are with, the grieving mothers, those rescuing babies from rubble, who are in danger of being wiped out completely🇵🇸♥️🖤💚

"You’re apparently too dumb to know we all see thru this and we know you meant every word," independent journalist Megyn Kelly blasted back. "You’re rabid anti-Semites and you’ve disgraced yourselves yet again."
The BLM Chicago Twitter account spent a significant chunk of the day Wednesday reiterating their position, sharing pro-Palestinian propaganda, and also claiming without evidence that they weren't affiliated with the national Black Lives Matter organization anymore.
But even if it's true that they aren't, their goals are obviously very similar in nature:
BLM FLASHBACK: In 2015, BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors spoke about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, stating:

“Palestine is our generation’s South Africa…if we don’t step up boldly and courageously to end the imperialist project called Israel, we’re doomed."

Black Lives Matter National and Black Lives Matter Chicago - clearly a distinction without a difference.
But back to the tweets, keep in mind that both the original and the update were put up after the news broke of the 40 murdered Israeli infants that were found during a house-to-house search for victims, with some of the babies having been beheaded by Hamas - a story confirmed by Joe Biden himself, who said in a press conference earlier that he'd seen some of the pictures.
I think it goes without saying that if at this point with all we've learned so far about the atrocities Hamas has committed against innocent people, anyone who is still publicly declaring support for their so-called mission really is no better than they are, and is entirely worthy of the scorn and contempt directed their way in the court of public opinion.
