Ilhan Omar Is Asked About Dems Going to El Salvador, and Her Response Has Everyone Talking

Democrats have been digging a big hole for themselves with their advocacy for illegal aliens.

When the report hit on Wednesday that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) was privately discouraging Democrats from taking any more trips to El Salvador after Democrats got such a backlash going there for illegal alien alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, and people thought they were finally understanding this was coming back to bite them, Jeffries team then rushed out to say no, they were still supporting Abrego Garcia.

Meanwhile, you had Democrats like Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga) comparing the arrests of illegal aliens to Nazis targeting their victims with a bizarre reworking of Pastor Martin Niemoller's famous "First They Came" quote. That was pretty wild. It didn't make any sense and comparing normal enforcement of the law to the Nazis is truly vile and offensive.

Perhaps Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) wanted to try to top him. Her response on the issue wasn't even an attempt to be poetic or appealing to sympathy. She was asked by Daily Caller News Foundation reporter Myles Morell, "Do you think more of your Democratic colleagues should be traveling to El Salvador to advocate on behalf of Abrego Garcia?" Her response was not a good one.

“I think you should f--- off,” Omar replied.

“I’m sorry, what, congresswoman?” Morell asked, probably thinking he couldn't have heard that right.

“You should f--- off," she responded.

"Who?" he asked.

"You,” she answered.

Morell asked a perfectly reasonable question, and he asked it politely. This is not how a member of Congress should behave when asked such a question by the media. But this is on brand for Omar. She doesn't act like a servant of the people, I'm not sure she understands that's what a member of Congress is supposed to be. She tends to act like people should be serving her, and not vice versa.

But it also tells you how the issue is getting to the Democrats. They've painted themselves into a corner and don't know how to get out, so she's just getting mad and striking out. They seem to think the answer to being out of power is cursing, bringing themselves down even further.

People called her out for her disgusting, crass behavior.

Omar did have one defender, the execrable Keith Olbermann who cheered her response, calling The Daily Caller the "Daily Cancer." Their reply was something else.
