As we reported, two of Hunter Biden's former business associates are testifying before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday -- Tony Bobulinski and Jason Galanis (from federal prison). 

Hunter Biden was invited to testify. He previously said he wanted to defend himself publicly. But he's now blowing it off, so we won't be hearing from him. Perhaps he didn't want to have to testify in a situation where his former associates would be able to contradict what he was saying. 

According to what the House Oversight Committee said last week, they are pointing that out and calling Hunter's bluff.

“The House Oversight Committee has called Hunter Biden’s bluff. Hunter Biden for months stated he wanted a public hearing, but now that one has been offered alongside his business associates that he worked with for years, he is refusing to come. During our deposition and interview phase of our investigation, Hunter Biden confirmed key evidence, including evidence that his father, President Joe Biden, lied to the American people about his family’s business dealings and in fact attended meetings, spoke on speakerphone, and had coffee with his foreign business associates who collectively funneled millions to the Bidens. However, parts of Hunter Biden’s testimony contradict the testimonies of Devon Archer, Jason Galanis, and Tony Bobulinski. 

Bobulinski, Archer, and Galanis all indicated that what was being sold was the Biden "brand." Here's footage of what Bobulinski and Galanis told Congress in their earlier closed-door testimony, as well as a clip of what Archer said on Tucker Carlson's show.

Among the things the trio revealed, Archer said, "The prize is that contact and that access to power." 

Bobulinski explained, "The relationship development is business. Joe Biden walking in a room and shaking Chairman Ye's hand is business." 

Galanis topped it off with "The entire value add of Hunter Biden to our business was his family name and his access to his father, Vice President Joe Biden." 

Bobulinski explained that when Joe Biden called into meetings, he was calling in to demonstrate that access to whoever they were trying to do business with -- the Ukrainians, Russians, Chinese -- whoever it was. "Just him being on the phone is evidence of involvement in enabling the transactions," Bobulinski said. 

Galanis spoke about an instance where Joe called into a dinner that Hunter was at with associates including Yelena Baturina, the mayor of Moscow's wife. Galanis said they were told to assemble in an area of the restaurant because Hunter was going to call his father. 

Joe said on the call to the business associates, "Okay, you be good to my boy." 

Hunter responded, "Everything is good, and we're moving ahead." 

Galanis said this was meant to impress the Russian investors that Hunter had access to his father and all that power. Galanis also said that Joe Biden was supposed to be a part of the "Burnham-Harvest" team after his vice presidency, according to what they had been discussing at the time. It's hard to argue that Joe wasn't involved when you have that level of involvement, according to the associates.
