White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre gave an interview to MSNBC, but in the process, she may have just said something that made things worse for Joe Biden (again).
Jean-Pierre claimed "there is no evidence" against Joe Biden in the Congressional corruption probe into Biden's actions.

She claimed it wasn't just Democrats saying that but that it was coming from Republicans as well, without citing any evidence of that. "There is no there there," Jean-Pierre argued.
Now we may make fun of her when she does this but she should not be referring all such questions to Biden's "personal counsel." When White House staff starts defending him against such accusations, it starts raising even more questions.
I made the point before that kind of response is problematic when KJP said that Joe Biden was aware of the statement that Hunter Biden made on the Capitol steps as he was blowing off the Congressional subpoena. That raised questions of obstruction if Joe Biden was involved in any way encouraging Hunter not to talk to Congress since most of the questions would be about the involvement of Joe Biden.
Obstruction is also another impeachment charge.

George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley pointed out one of the issues as well that could apply to these new remarks as well.
In addition, President Biden has enlisted White House staff to actively push challenged accounts of his conduct and attack the House Republicans’ investigative process. Such acts could legally bootstrap prior misconduct into his presidency under abuse-of-power allegations.
So once again her response raises those problematic questions of the White House staff being used to cover for him.
KJP said that it was "so unfortunate" that Republicans in Congress wanted to concentrate on Joe Biden's "family" rather than on the "American family."
"We want to work with them in a bipartisan way to get things done," she insisted.
What a slimy response. Republicans have put forth a ton of evidence of problematic actions even money going personally into Joe Biden's accounts. Biden's family raked in millions from various financial dealings with foreign entities/people. And the nerve of her saying that they shouldn't be looking into corruption questions rather than focusing on the "American family."
Biden is in St. Croix on his umpteenth vacation, blowing off the cares of the American people. His New Year's resolution? Not something for the American people -- not something about the hostage, inflation, or the crisis at the border -- but rather that he should get to come back to St. Croix next year.
The problem for Biden? Most don't believe that he cares about the "American family." KJP was asked why are people now moving away from Biden and going to former President Donald Trump or other choices.

"We get that it's gonna take a little bit of time for folks to feel what the 'Bidenomics' has been able to do," she claimed. The "Bidenomics" has helped to contribute to crushing inflation, not exactly an achievement one can brag about. We've been feeling it for a while, and it's not good.
Finally, she had this lovely comment.

"Equity," but not necessarily the best policy to solve the issues. Which is probably one of the reasons Biden has been such a failure.
