Unfortunately, when we see the chaos that is unfolding in the Middle East, we can't rely on the Biden team to be honest in what they tell us about what is happening. Time after time, what they have said hasn't squared with reality on a range of issues from the economy to foreign policy.
The Biden team doing a briefing for reporters is an exercise in what unbelievable nonsense they will sling today.
On Tuesday, Fox's Peter Doocy had some good questions that put National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby on the spot, and his responses were just not credible.
Doocy asked, "Is it possible that somebody who wants to commit a terrorist attack, during a time of elevated threat, crossed the southern border into the United States already?"

Great question, and given how Joe Biden has left the doors wide open, with no real vetting, and people just allowed into the county, it would be completely foolish to assume that our enemies weren't taking advantage of this feeble defense Biden has created at the border.
But Kirby's answer? "I couldn't possibly answer that question."
And that's exactly why you shouldn't be in that job and Biden shouldn't be in power, because you can't or wouldn't be honest about that question.
John Kirby claims the administration is "always concerned" about terrorists illegally crossing the border.

More individuals on the terror watchlist illegally entered the country in FY2023 than the past six years combined. pic.twitter.com/ojoKsRASpm
Doocy revealed there was a CBP bulletin that militants associated with the Israel-Hamas war might be trying to come in. He then notes there were 600,000 known gotaways (meaning people the CBP saw but who got away into the country) just in the last fiscal year -- a stunning and concerning number, particularly with more people being on the terror watchlist entering in 2023 than ever before.
Kirby responds that they're asking for more money. But why would anyone give them any money given that they're not employing what they already have to secure the border? They don't seem to care about the threat.
Then Doocy asked another great question that potentially impacts a lot of those people -- including those on the left -- who seem to be chanting in support of Hamas terrorists. Are people who are making violent, antisemitic threats, "are they domestic terrorists?" Doocy inquired.
DOOCY TIME: "The people in this country making violent, anti-semitic threats, are they domestic terrorists?"

John Kirby: "I don't know that we're classifying people as domestic terrorists for that. I mean, I--that's really a question better left to law enforcement." pic.twitter.com/XpuH4LOWK5
Kirby's response was bizarre, "I don't know that we're classifying people as domestic terrorists for that. I mean, I--that's really a question better left to law enforcement."
I guess if they were parents objecting to policies at school board meetings, they would have no problem siccing the FBI on them. But if they're probably leftist, they might again have the aid of the magical "D."
But Kirby capped it off with an answer truly lacking in any credibility.
Top Biden spokesman John Kirby claims there's "no indication, none, that Hamas has gotten their hands on any of the humanitarian assistance that has gone in" to Gaza pic.twitter.com/LOV2WRU56D

Kirby claimed there was "no indication, none, that Hamas has gotten their hands on any of the humanitarian assistance that has gone in" to Gaza. That's just not believable and when they claim that, it just adds to the belief that nothing they say is trustworthy.
Of course, there's evidence. Two weeks ago, UNRWA reported on Hamas stealing fuel and medical supplies. They deleted it -- likely for political reasons -- but the Israelis "and multiple sources" confirmed it, as international human rights lawyer Hillel Neuer explains here.
I told Indian TV: “Hamas stole 24,000 liters of fuel from the UN compound. That's enough to power Gaza’s water desalination facilities for hundreds of thousands of Gaza residents over four days. If you back Hamas, you couldn't care less about the people of Gaza.” @republic pic.twitter.com/3b7ovrWyfZ

That's evidence.
Remember when hundreds broke into the UN warehouses last week?
The United Nations Palestinian refugee agency said Gazans broke into aid centers, taking flour and ‘basic survival items.’ Aid supplies to Gaza have been choked since Israel began bombarding the enclave https://t.co/YV70W6Y0NX pic.twitter.com/mE75HYU2tj

That's also evidence. Are we supposed to believe none of those people were Hamas when Hamas controls everything with a tight fist?
To say there is no evidence at all is either slinging falsehoods and/or being incredibly naive.
The bottom line is they don't want to acknowledge the evidence because they want to keep the aid flowing in. They said it over and over again; that's their priority. If it happens to help Hamas, oh, well.
