When it comes to the primaries, it promises to be an interesting battle on both sides of the aisle.
Joe Biden may have more people jump in against him, but right now, with Robert Kennedy, Jr. at around 20 percent. Biden has so many people saying they’d prefer he not be the candidate, so he is not in the best of shape.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump is up by about 30 points over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Now, it’s early and that may change, but I think it’s fair to say that DeSantis has a lot of ground to make up. Democrats are of course calling them both “worse than Hitler.” Is there any Republican they wouldn’t try to make into Hitler? It’s nonsensical. Look at the policies and look at what was done under Trump and compare it to the mess we have now under Biden. There isn’t even a comparison to how much better we had it under Trump versus now, and voters who have been alive for more than five minutes will remember that.
That’s part of the reason Trump’s riding high in the primary numbers, and indeed against Biden in polls.
Other folks have jumped into the GOP primary like Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and there are others who are thinking about it, like Chris Christie. Some like Christie are just kidding themselves that anyone would be interested in them, particularly with DeSantis and Trump to choose from. If he jumped in, it would be a vanity move. I’m not sure what animates people when they’re going to be lucky if they get 1 percent of the vote.
Tim Scott is a more credible human being than Christie, and I think he will do better than most of the other candidates, but I’m not sure I see a way to break through Trump and DeSantis at this point. There are also folks like Nikki Haley and Asa Hutchinson, both of whom have also declared but aren’t going anywhere.
Then there’s fake conservative/Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin. Who does she think would be a good pick for the GOP nominee?
Oh, you’re going to love this one.
Can we get any more pro-war and swampier than this? She thinks the wild-mustached one, John Bolton, would be a great pick. Oh, and that Bolton would “eviscerate Trump and DeSantis.”
he should run. I'm serious. He'd eviscerate both Trump and know-nothing DeSantis https://t.co/blIcB2X1T4

This shows you what liberal media truly wants to try to sell us. Let’s ask ourselves. Who is John Bolton’s constituency, apart from Jennifer Rubin? Did she even ask that before she tweeted something so stupid? Why would anyone vote for or want John Bolton? I can point to all kinds of reasons people might want Trump or DeSantis. But why Bolton? Because they like wars and mustaches? That is one fine laugh for the day. But it tells you exactly how much you can trust anything she says (if you didn’t already know). The only reason she likes him is because he hates Trump, which is not a great qualification for the office.
Yes, let’s look back on how the Germans did laugh about Trump.
In response to #Brussels' sanctions for the invasion of #Ukraine, #Russia cut off gas to #Europe.
A couple of years ago #Trump was warning #Germany of the danger of relying on Russian gas and the Germans laughed at him. I guess they won't get as much of a laugh today. pic.twitter.com/1G2Mhybvcs

And who turned out to be right? Trump. Trump knew what was coming if they didn’t decouple from reliance on the Russians, and he argued with them to decouple. Some Russian asset — just one of the many things that disprove that fake hoax. It wasn’t under Trump that Russia invaded Ukraine, it was under Barack Obama and Joe Biden, which tells you everything right there. They took a look at Joe Biden after he caved on Nord Stream 2 and the debacle in Afghanistan and saw how weak he was. They didn’t make such a move under Trump.
Rubin is out of her mind with this thought and she got ratioed into next week.
Rubin has had quite a lot of seriously bad takes. This might actually be her worst and that’s saying something
