I’ve postulated before that Joe Biden may not like Kamala Harris all that much.

Otherwise, it’s hard to imagine why he would stick her with such a no-win position by being responsible, formally, for the border.

On top of that, now we’re hearing from “Biden Administration officials” that they’re “quietly perplexed” about how Kamala Harris has gave such horrible answers during her trip to Guatemala and Mexico.

One example was her awful answer to NBC’s Lester Holt about going to the border. “We’ve been to the border. So this whole thing about the border, we’ve been to the border,” Harris said. Holt replied, “You haven’t been to the border.” Harris, cackling in response, said, “And I haven’t been to Europe. And I mean, I don’t understand the point that you’re making.”

She was asked more times during her trip but couldn’t come up with a satisfactory answer, just a lot of cackling. She even shot herself in the foot when she said, “If you want to fix a problem, you have to go to where the problem exists,” despite not having gone to the border.

Biden administration officials are “quietly perplexed” about Vice President Kamala Harris’ fumbling multiple questions about the border and are concerned her unforced errors will overshadow her first international trip, according to a report. [….]

Administration officials told CNN there was “a real hope” that the trip would be a success, and voiced their concern that “what looked like ill-prepared answers to that inevitable question would overshadow it.”

While the sources weren’t going as far as to call the trip a failure, the individuals conceded that the soundbite would likely continue to be used by Harris’ critics.

Fascinating. In other words, she’s being thrown under the bus and it’s hard to think it wouldn’t be happening if there wasn’t some tacit approval for it from Joe Biden (or the powers that be).

The other thing here is, if this is their effort to do her in or distance her, it’s pretty hard to act like they’re surprised at what horrible answers she gives. Joe Biden was there (at least physically) during the campaign. He saw what horrible answers she gave then, and how she was completely cooked by Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) during one debate. If you’re saying that you didn’t know that she was going to continue to have exactly the same problem, then you weren’t paying attention during the campaign and you can’t get out it by using that excuse, because it was patently obvious to all the rest of us.

Harris is unlikeable, much in the vein of Hillary Clinton for being inauthentic. She even has a similar cackle. It’s why Democratic voters rejected her out of hand. Now the Democrats have put themselves in a box making her the second. And it’s really not a good look – incompetence and empty arrogance – for the “Biden/Harris team.”
