Former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal continues to pile up the cash ten years after he retired from the game as one of the greatest centers the league has ever seen. The Hall-of-Famer, now an analyst on Inside the NBA, is worth an estimated $400 million — give or take $50 million, but who’s counting?
Regardless of how many millions Shaq is worth, one thing is clear. During an appearance on the podcast Earn Your Leisure, Shaq said his six kids — Shareef, Shaqir, Me’arah, Myles, Taahirah, and Amirah — are not going to get a free ride just because their dad is rich.
And during a September interview with The New York Post in which he talked about his decision to retire from “celebrity status,” Shaq said he tells his kids all the time he’s rich; they’re not.
“My kids are older now. They kinda upset with me. Not really upset, but they don’t understand. I tell them all the time. We ain’t rich. I’m rich.”
Tough love, here?

As reported by The Post, Shaq has told his kids they’re going to have to have a game plan if they want access to a piece of his $400 million pie.
“You gotta have bachelor’s or master’s [degrees] and then if you want me to invest in one of your companies, you’re going to have to present it — boom boom boom, bring it to me. I’ll let you know, [but] I’m not giving you nothing.”
Again, hard-ass tough love, or miserly behavior?

Shaq reiterated his one non-negotiable rule to The Post — and it’s not basketball:
“There’s one rule: education. I don’t care if you play basketball. I don’t care about none of that.
“Listen, I got six kids. I would like a doctor, somebody to own a hedge fund, a pharmacist, a lawyer, someone that owns multiple businesses, someone to take over my business.
“But I tell them I’m not going to hand it to you. You gotta earn it.”
Work ethic. There’s a concept we hear zero about from Joe Biden and the Democrats. On the contrary, Joe’s too busy handing out money to people to stay home and not work, let alone, he’s working on a plan to “award” around $450,000 to illegal alien families who were “forcefully broken up” during the Trump administration — but apparently not his.
“Qualifying families” have reportedly already begun to file claims, some parents claiming their children were traumatized and as a result suffered from a range of medical and psychological issues, including “anxiety” and a “fear of strangers.” #ProTip: If these people were not in this country illegally they would have suffered “none of the above.” ¿Comprender?
Meanwhile, the Biden Border Crisis™ continues unabated with no end in sight.
Apologies for the digression, but the above crap reads like it’s fresh off the satire site, The Babylon Bee.

Teaching them work ethic. 💪

During his interview with The Post, Shaq said he grew up in humble beginnings.
“I came from nothing. But, just because I made it doesn’t mean I’m bigger than you, smarter than you — just because I have more money doesn’t mean I’m better than you. I’ve never been that way and I never will be that way.”
Um, Shaq? The Kardashians would like a word. They beg to differ.
