Who knew the Left was so hilarious? I wrote an article yesterday about a recent interview with “funnyman” David Letterman in which he took issue with Donald Trump calling the media the “enemy of the people.” Letterman said, with a straight face: “The press educates and informs people.” Funniest thing I read all day.

Today’s comedy bit comes from MSNBC host Hallie Jackson, who asked Robert Gibbs, one of former-President Obama’s press secretaries, how Joe Biden as president could fight against conservative media bias. [ROFL emoji] Yep, the jokes just keep coming.

Ladies and gentlemen, stand-up comic, Hallie Jackson:

“I want to ask you about something the president (Obama) said in an interview with The Atlantic… He talks about this knowledge crisis he believes we’re entering. If quote, ‘We don’t have the capacity to distinguish what’s true from what’s false, then by definition the marketplace of ideas doesn’t work and by definition, our democracy doesn’t work.’ (A call for censorship)

“That’s interesting in light of the fact that we’re seeing more fringe networks, more conservative social media platforms pop up and get more popular in the wake of the election as Politico puts it, ‘trying to be at the center is an impulse for confirmation bias,’ right, according to misinformation and extremist researchers.

“I wonder as someone who’s dealt with the media and knows President Obama, where we are as a country right now, looking for information? How you see this sort of conservative confirmation bias if it exists shaking out?“

“Misinformation and extremist researchers”?

Translation: Jack Dorsey’s Twitter and Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook — with left-“leaning” search results thrown in from Google at no extra charge. And there’s your answer, Hallie. We’ll just have Twitter, Facebook, and Google decide what information we see or don’t see — while slapping disclaimer after disclaimer on every tweet or post that falls victim to their predisposed left-wing bias. Problem solved.

And fight against it Jackson continued to do with her soapbox/question, asking Gibbs for some pointers she would no doubt love to pass along to a Biden administration, assuming there is a Biden administration when the dust settles on the most contentious presidential election in modern history.

“So what do you do then if you’re the incoming press secretary? What advice would you have to the person who’s going to be at the podium who’s going to be dealing with some of these outlets that are more conservative that have spread in some instances, misinformation, places like OAN, (One America News Network) for example?”

Aaand here’s Robert!

“I think you have got to be real careful about where you go, (avoid talking with conservative media outlets) and I think you’ve got to do some work in lifting up those — it doesn’t have to be a partisan outlet on the Democratic side, but lifting up those that are willing to have a conversation about a base level of fact that’s out there. It’s going to take a long time.

“It’s going to take far more than one person at the podium to wash this away. (WOW)

“But I think really understanding and lifting up some basic level of truth and calling on the right people (censoring media that will ask tough legitimate questions) to make sure that there’s—that information flow (the Democrat narrative) rather than looking at and saying everything we don’t like is fake news” (a cheap shot at Trump).

Pretty incredible, huh? But, hey — at least these lefties just come right out and say it.

Jackson: “Say, Robert, how can the Biden administration avoid answering questions from the media who don’t carry our water and refuse to do our bidding?

Gibbs: “Ignore them. Hopefully, after a while, we can make them disappear — or at least censor them to the point that they won’t be able to get their messages out. In the meantime, only talk with or answer questions from ‘our’ media.”

The depth of hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness of the Left is unequaled, folks. But you already knew that.
