New First Lady, Melania Trump nearly “broke the internet” as the kids say with her pitch perfect look at the Inauguration. From the moment she stepped out in the baby blue cashmere frock from Ralph Lauren, America was smitten. Jackie O references, were everywhere. Justifiably so.
The anticipation for her choice of gowns for the Inaugural Balls, started to build almost immediately. Mrs. Trump did not disappoint. Wearing an off the shoulder cream gown reported to be designed by Carolina Herrera. The First Lady stole the show again, as she danced to “My Way” with President Donald Trump.

To the designers that rejected the idea of dressing, Melania Trump, I am reminded of the infamous scene from Pretty Woman, when Julia Roberts returns to the dress shop, shopping bags in hand. “Big mistake… Huge.”
At the ball on Inauguration eve, Melania was statuesque in the truest sense, stunning in a champagne colored gown by Reem Acra.

I have a feeling once the pain subsides, the same artists will be lining up to have her wear their frocks on the world stage. Here’s to our new First Lady of Fashion, Melania Trump.
**Update: Today reports the dress was designed by Herve Pierre.
