Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker has been seeing a surge in the polling lately, interestingly at a time when Democrats have been seeing their own national surge.
Pushing a campaign message of unity and healing the country’s divisions, the Walker campaign has dropped a new 30-second ad that blasts mainstream Democrats’ focus on racism and division rather than opportunity and healing.
🚨🚨🚨 new @HerschelWalker TV ad!

Short, sweet, and to the point, the ad quotes Stacey Abrams, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, and his opponent, Sen. Raphael Warnock. Then, Walker appears and says “Senator Warnock believes that America is a bad country full of racist people. I believe we’re a great country full of generous people.”
“Warnock wants to divide us,” he concludes. “I want to unite us.”
The ad comes the same week that Warnock’s campaign is dropping an ad attacking Walker over debates.
Though it should be noted that Walker has already countered the ad in part.
Let’s lock down Savannah Oct 14th, Senator. I don’t care what the topics are. It’s a fair debate. Open to the public. Televised statewide. And it’s not run by your donors. You in? Let’s do this for the people.

Recent polling has Walker out ahead of Warnock, and much like we’re seeing in Pennsylvania, the “why won’t you debate me” line appears to be the sole focus of Warnock. That’s a pretty stark difference in messaging, and it looks like the people of Georgia aren’t going to reward Warnock with an easy re-election if this is how he wants to run his campaign.
