Remember Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold? She is the wild-eyed woman who helped engineer the lawsuit that sought to remove former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump from the Colorado ballot, citing the 14th Amendment. In March, the Supreme Court said No, ruling that Griswold had no legal authority to arbitrarily decide this based on a supposed "insurrection" and that she could not deny Colorado citizens the right to vote for him.

Griswold cried many leftists tears, especially on her favorite channel, MSNBC:

This woman is unhinged. It’s clear she only loves democracy if/when her side wins.

Fast forward to October, with mere days before the 2024 election. If Griswold had had her way, Trump would not even be on the ballot. Polling from Nate Silver's 538 shows Vice President and selected Democrat nominee Kalama Harris is still the favorite to win the state, but Democrats do not seem to be satisfied with this. Last week, an intercepted mail ballot scheme was uncovered in Mesa County, CO.

Colorado authorities are investigating an incident in which at least 12 mail ballots appear to have been intercepted before reaching voters intended to receive them, according to a statement from the state's top elections official on Thursday.

The intercepted ballots for the Nov. 5 election were filled out and mailed to the county clerk in Mesa County, in the western part of the state, according to the Colorado secretary of state's office.

It did not say whether they were marked for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, Democrat nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris or some other candidate.

The apparent ballot fraud scheme was discovered after some affected voters received notifications either that their ballots had been processed or needed to be corrected because of a discrepancy with their signature, according to the statement.

This is the same county where former County Clerk Tina Peters was sentenced to nine years in prison for allowing an associate of MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell access to their voting machines in order to document what she perceived as fraud in the 2020 election. After the discovery of the mail ballot scheme, Griswold weighed in with the usual song and dance about "safe and secure" elections.

“Colorado’s elections are safe and secure. This attempt at fraud was found and investigated quickly because of all the trailblazing processes and tools Colorado has in place like signature verification, ballot tracking and the curing process," Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold said in the statement.

On Tuesday, it was discovered that the Office of the Colorado Secretary of State "inadvertently" posted to their public website a spreadsheet that contained the passwords to the state's voting systems. This could portend something far worse than the actions for which Peters was convicted.

You truly cannot make this stuff up.

The Colorado Secretary of State’s Office inadvertently posted a spreadsheet to its website with a hidden tab that included voting system passwords.

In a statement to 9NEWS, a spokesperson for the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office said that “the Department is working to remedy this situation where necessary.”

“The Department took immediate action as soon as it was aware of this and informed the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which closely monitors and protects the county’s essential security infrastructure,” the spokesperson said.

Had it not been for a Colorado Republican Party official, this "mistake" could have gone unnoticed well after the damage was done. Which was possibly part of the plan.

On Tuesday morning, Colorado Republican Party Vice Chair Hope Scheppelman shared the hidden tab discovery in a mass email, along with an affidavit from someone who claims they had downloaded the Excel file from the Colorado Secretary of State’s website and discovered the hidden tab by simply clicking “unhide.” The name on the affidavit was blacked out in the Republican Party email.

9NEWS left a voicemail with Scheppelman on Tuesday afternoon.

As RedState reported with the election interference occurring in Pennsylvania, citizens on the ground coupled with the quick action of Republican National Committee officials has been critical in quickly exposing these tactics.

The passwords that were in the hidden tab are known as BIOS passwords and are one part of the security process for Colorado’s voting machines.

They are passwords needed to configure system settings.

“There are two unique passwords for every election equipment component, which are kept in separate places and held by different parties. Passwords can only be used with physical in-person access to a voting system,” a spokesperson for the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office said.

But in typical Democrat fashion, Griswold is saying there's nothing to see here. Move along.

"To be very clear, we do not see this as a full security threat to the state. This is not a security threat," Colorado's Democratic Secretary of State Jena Griswold told 9NEWS Tuesday. "There are two passwords to get into any voting component, along with physical access. We have layers of security, and out of just an abundance of caution, have staff in the field changing passwords, looking at access logs and looking at the entire situation and continuing our investigation."

Sure, Jan. One hopes that the RNC and their phalanx of lawyers will be keeping an eye on this. Colorado is not even close to a battleground state, yet Democrats are still working overtime to manipulate the vote. It makes one wonder what really is going on behind the scenes.
