With 'Yes' Votes on a Federal Vaccine Database, 80 Republicans Want to Seal Your Fate—Seal Theirs and Vote Them Out

It gets harder and harder each day to support these GOP clowns. After 13 defected to push through Biden’s Infrastructure agenda and got roasted for it, you would think the House Republicans would have learned their lesson.

Apparently not. H.R. 550, the Immunization Infrastructure Modernization Act which funds a federal vaccination database passed the House 294-130. Eighty Republicans crossed the aisle to help passage of this bill, including Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Turncoat). If he gained any currency in his hours long filibuster on the House floor a few weeks back, he spent it on this one. He can kiss that speakership goodbye.

Adding to the California contingent, Young Kim (R-Climber), who won her House seat back from Gil Cisneros in 2020, also voted “Yes.” It’s time to ensure she doesn’t get that chance again. For Iowa freshwoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-Feckless) and Utah’s Burgess Owens (R-Symbol), they should probably enjoy this Congressional run, because it may well be their first and last term.

It goes without saying that Ill. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Weepy) and Wyo. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Egregious) also voted “Yes.” These two can’t even be considered Republicans anymore.

What is most telling is the legacy media outlets barely gave this vote a mention, as though the selling of individual liberty and privacy rights doesn’t rate a trending story or front page news.

Right-leaning media carried the day, including our sister site, TownHall:

A shocking number of House Republicans joined Democrats on Tuesday to pass a bill that would fund a federal vaccination database and give more power to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Public Health Department to share information with the federal government.

H.R. 550, known as the Immunization Infrastructure Modernization Act, allocates $400 million to fund “immunization system data modernization and expansion.” The bill’s text describes the system as “a confidential, population-based, computerized database that records immunization doses administered by any health care provider to persons within the geographic area covered by that database.”

In total, 80 Republicans voted for H.R. 550, including four who co-sponsored the legislation: Reps. Larry Bucshon (R-IN), James Baird (R-IN), David McKinley (R-WV), and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA).

According to Rep. Mary Miller, who voted “no,” the bill will only make it easier for the federal government to target unvaccinated Americans.

“These systems are designed to allow for the sharing of crucial information and maintenance of records. Do we really trust the government to protect our medical records?” the Illinois Republican told Breitbart.

Short answer: HE-EL, No!

“The bill’s author even bragged in her press release that these systems will help the government remind patients when they are due for a recommended vaccine and identify areas with low vaccination rates to ensure equitable distribution of vaccines. This was clearly a legislative tool to enforce vaccine mandates and force their Orwellian rules onto those who do not comply.”

So what excuses did the party that claims to be the party of the working man have for 80 of its House members voting “Yes” on this dystopian nightmare scenario?

Neb. Rep. Don Bacon (R-Swine) justified it thusly:

Most folks don’t know their own status. This is for the patient. There is no federal data base nor standard, all privacy laws are enforced and it’s not used for mandates. You can’t believe what some publications say.

So can we believe what the bill actually says, Rep. Bacon?

The government bill would spend $400 million on an “immunization system data modernization and expansion,” a system it says is “a confidential, population-based, computerized database that records immunization doses administered by any health care provider to persons within the geographic area covered by that database.”

“The database would allow the government to notify people about when their booster shot are due,” one political observer notes. “Although the system is described as confidential, confidential in this case means confidential from the public, until of course records are indiscriminately released like has happened with the IRS, Department of Defense, Veterans Administration, or any number of high-profile government leaks and hacks.”

What is unbelievable is Rep. Bacon’s disregard of his own constituents as they try to fight the federal vaccine mandates.

Some of these stooges are not running for reelection (looking at you, Adam Kinzinger), others have active challengers. Time to find who is challenging them for their seat, see what their platform is about, and maybe throw some money and time into their campaigns. This can only end when these people lose their jobs.
