Feminism’s downfall was always going to be at the hands of femininity. While feminism constantly complained about and attacked men and masculinity, its real target has always been femininity. Eliminating womanhood by redefining it was always its primary goal.
Feminism is primarily a leftist ideological position that, with the help of money and politics, spent decades convincing women that they were victims and that the only way to fight back was to leave behind the very things that made them women and embrace lives that actively rejected men, domestic skills and homemaking, and attain high stature in corporate scenarios.
Being a housewife and stay-at-home mother became offensive to feminist sentiments and women that embraced that lifestyle were often denounced and ridiculed in order to make an example of these offenders to intimidate other women into compliance. It also forced a cultural divide between men and women by giving out false statistics about a non-existent “rape culture,” and blaming men for women’s supposed lack of progression in society, including a false “pay gap.”
Despite all the mainstream cultural dressing, slapping a happy face of empowerment over the feminist movement’s domination over women hasn’t masked the fact that women are more unhappy than ever. As Carrie Gress wrote at National Review last year, metrics have shown that women are struggling with mental and physical health issues at a grossly increased rate:
Happiness metrics confirm that women are struggling: Suicides, depression, substance abuse, and sexually transmitted infections have all increased dramatically over the last five decades. Women aren’t becoming happier, just more medicated. A 2020 Pew Report showed that over 50 percent of liberal white women under 30 have some sort of mental-health issue. That statistic alone is stunning enough to indicate that something is going very wrong for the modern woman, despite the steady uptick of feminist advances.
Feminism set out to force women to reject themselves and embrace lies cooked up by professors looking to give their own politics an edge in our society. It largely succeeded as generations of women have embraced the idea that they’ve been liberated while they’ve been put in prisons of the mind. For many women, even suggesting a return to natural gender roles is enough to incite rage.
Thanks to its base goal, it’s now moved on to its inevitable end-point. Now, mainstream culture is insisting that there is no such thing as a woman. Men can be women. Women are no longer exclusively capable of pregnancy and giving birth, that now also belongs to the “gender fluid.” The erasure of women has reached its apex.
However, the funny thing about nature is that nature will always win in the end. Just like an abandoned structure in the wilderness would find itself eventually consumed with vegetation and wildlife, the natural urges and desires of women would creep back and overtake whatever artificial ideology was built on top of them.
Slowly, but very surely, women are beginning to push back against the feminism taught to them by their foremothers. They don’t just notice the stark hypocrisy but are also learning to listen to their own natural callings.
It wasn’t hard to notice the signs. Women on social media began joking about how the feminist movement gave them the “freedom” to work, and now, instead of enjoying a home life while their husband makes the dough, they’re also forced to wake up, go to work, attend meetings, and more. To be clear, they were joking but after watching enough of them you start to get the feeling that they’re only half-joking.
The career-focused women that feminism had created began feeling the effects of their decision as they grew older. While feminism was something empowering and easy to support in their teens and early 20s, as they drifted into their 30s single and childless, causing something of an unspoken panic. Freezing eggs in order to prolong their fertility became popular as they couldn’t find a suitable mate.
To be sure, men were harder to come by either because they were already married off or they had fled the dating pool and refused to get married. This, in part, was also a side-effect of feminism, which had taught men to cease pursuit of women either due to shifting societal norms or due to women having become useless partners thanks to feminism convincing girls that having domestic traits was traitorous to their sex.
This unhappiness is causing a burgeoning wave to develop that puts feminism in a questionable position. While some women are slowly waking up and asking questions about the value of feminism, others are directly opposing it and suggesting a return to gender norms. They’re openly advocating for marriage to a good man and having children. While they’re not saying women shouldn’t have careers if they want them, they are destigmatizing the stay-at-home mother and as a result, this lifestyle is on the rise.
It’s slow going but it’s happening amidst a mainstream society that has told women they aren’t women unless they stop being women. Rest assured, speaking out against the feminist lie will become more and more common over the next few years, and as the lie is defeated, women may find themselves happier and more fulfilled.
