CNN commentator Dana Bash barely pretends to be objective anymore; she doesn't bother to hide that she is a shamelessly partisan hack pretending to be a journalist. Republican National Committee co-chair and Trump daughter-in-law Lara Trump wasn’t having it Sunday, however, pushing back strongly as Bash tried to shill for the Harris-Biden regime by arguing that they’d done a great job on their Hurricane Helene response.
Except, of course, nobody is actually impressed with their lame efforts.
Just like at the debates, a leftist journalist couldn’t simply let a conservative speak their mind, and Bash felt the need to interrupt and put on her own spin. “Let me just stop you right there,” she said, halting Lara Trump mid-sentence.
LARA TRUMP: “I’m incredibly concerned, in North Carolina, I hear every day from people on the ground there, and they are desperate for help. It is a dire situation there. I actually think we don’t even know the extent yet of truly how bad it is there. And look, Kamala Harris did come out and say it‘s $750 per family right now, the idea that we’ve spent $650 million in fiscal year 24 on the migrant crisis that Kamala Harris was responsible for stopping — by all accounts, she created — by having an open-door policy at our southern border,” Lara Trump said.
DANA BASH: “But Laura, let me just stop you right there,” Bash jumped in. “Let me just stop you right there because I just want to not let this get out there. You are right that FEMA is giving $750, but that is a first step. It’s for immediate needs, it’s called the serious needs assist.”

Lara Trump forces Dana Bash to admit Democrats allocated a much larger sum of money for illegals than Americans in need of disaster relief post Hurricane Helene:

From the above tweet:
Lara Trump: "Kamala Harris did come out and say 750 dollars per family. The idea that we've spent 650 million dollars in Fiscal Year '24 on the migrant crisis that Kamala Harris was responsible for stopping. They said they are out of money in terms of their Hurricane relief. You have migrants being housed in luxury hotels. We have paid so much money from our tax dollars into the crisis that didn't need to happen. We could redirect money to help people immediately on the ground in North Carolina."
Dana Bash: "That's a separate tranche of money."Yes Dana, the 'tranche' of money allocated to illegals is far more than the sum of money allocated to Americans in need during an emergency. Thank you for agreeing with Trump.
To her credit, Lara was not buying what Bash was so shamelessly selling:
“Well Alejandro Mayorkas came out, Dana, and said they are out of money in terms of their hurricane relief. We have another hurricane heading towards Florida right now,” Lara Trump pushed back. “Why is this government inept right now? Why don’t they have anything in order? Why is it that right now the citizens in western North Carolina are screaming for help, and it’s having to come from local citizens.”
Who's in charge?
As I wrote earlier Sunday, the corrupt corporate media has gone easy on the Harris-Biden regime regarding their flawed disaster response despite going absolutely nuclear on former President George W. Bush for his efforts following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Good for Lara Trump for pushing back on their noxious, gaslighting narratives.
