Whether we like it or not, the 2024 Presidential election is well underway. Candidates are making their intentions known, and it is expected that Joe Biden will run for reelection. There are reports that Biden will formally announce a 2024 reelection bid on Tuesday of next week. He will be challenged by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Marianne Williamson. Thus far, no other Democrat candidates have announced they are running. One of the ongoing concerns over a second Biden run is his age. Should he be reelected, at the time of his second inauguration he will be 82 years old, which would put him at 86 at the end of a second term. That is a problem for some younger Democrat voters.
According to an AP/NORC poll, at least among Democrats, Biden’s numbers are ok, with 47 percent saying they would support his reelection, and among Democrats overall, he has a 78 percent approval rating. But the poll shows that among Democrat voters under age 45, Biden’s age is a real concern. A woman in California who was polled said:
My problem with him running in 2024 is that he’s just so old. I would love to see somebody younger, like Buttigieg or Newsom be able to get in there and handle things maybe a little differently just because they’re a younger person.
Another of those surveyed from New York stated:
I voted for him. I like him as a person. I like him as a leader for the country. However, I just feel that he’s still lacking the up-to-date knowledge of what needs to be done.
A Democrat voter from Georgia, a woman aged 45 was the most direct when she said that the reason she did not think Biden should run was his age.
In 2008, Democrats and the media insisted that John McCain was too old to be president. He was ten years younger than Joe Biden is now.

But Joe Biden’s advanced age may be the least of the many things Democrats might want to start thinking about. One of those things may be some obvious interference in the 2020 election. In testimony this week before the House Judiciary Committee, former acting CIA Director Mike Morrell stated that Biden campaign foreign affairs advisor and now Secretary of State Antony Blinken had asked Morrell to “organize” a letter, composed of 51 former intelligence officials, stating that the information on Hunter Biden’s laptop had all the earmarks of a Russian disinformation operation. Morrell stated that he organized the letter because he wanted Biden to win, and if he won, was under consideration to be the head of the CIA. Joe Biden himself even used the letter in a 2020 presidential debate.

And depending on where the investigation goes, impeachment could be a real possibility. Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), a member of the House Oversight and Foreign Affairs Committees appeared on the Fox News Channel on Sunday and stated that he suspects impeachment proceedings against Joe Biden will take place. He stated:
If this cover-up shows what’s going on, that we all assume is going on, and that the 51 folks were basically lied to and showed false documentation, how can you not? I mean, this is just going on too much. And like I said, the documentation that I’ve seen, I can’t comment on all of it, but what I can comment on is that it is bad and it is getting worse and it is showing illegal monies from Chinese communists flowing into this White House via Hunter Biden and his lawyers. How could we not impeach Biden if this does in fact reach him?
As if this wasn’t enough, there is now a whistleblower at the IRS, who claims that he has specific evidence he would like to provide to Congress, that would “contradict sworn testimony to Congress by a senior political appointee.” That appointee appears to be Attorney General Merrick Garland. The IRS employee claims a cover-up into the investigation of Hunter Biden, and details “preferential treatment” the younger Biden was receiving.

Joe Biden may be announcing another run for the White House, but could this eventually be just too much for Democrats? Could Democrats decide that their way out of a second Biden/Harris ticket is Robert Kennedy Jr? He is younger and certainly has name recognition and money. And should Donald Trump become the Republican nominee, Kennedy might be able to sway some independents and Republicans who do not like Trump. None of this is going away anytime soon for Democrats, and it is a long way to 2024.
