Britain was where we got our ideas of the right of man to govern himself without overburdensome government intrusion but, now, its where freedom goes to die. Case in point: police have been asked to consider misogyny a hate crime. In Nottinghamshire, they’re giving it a trial run (trying out if something is a crime? ok), and it may be rolled out across the country.

What’s the definition of misogyny?  Police chiefs have it defined extremely broadly as  ‘behaviour targeted towards a woman by men simply because they are a woman’ which means that it includes things such as wolf whistling or sending unwanted text messages. Don’t we women have a hard enough time waiting for the guys we like to text us? Now they have to wonder if they’ll be criminals if they misread the signals? Fantastic!

I’m delighted to hear that there is no actual crime to be dealt with in Britain and that parents are now actively encouraged to shift the burden of teaching their sons how to treat women directly onto the government.

This is a country that once dominated the world.
