Meghan McCain Predicts Post-Election 'War' - Maybe the Andrew Breitbart Kind

Is a war on the way?

In the last few months — and, to some degree, few years — some have spoken of a coming clash. Occasionally predicted: a civil war.

Meghan McCain believes something explosive sits on the horizon, but it may not be of the action movie variety. Perhaps she envisions a supreme battle against the conventional media of America.

On Tuesday, the daughter of Republican John counted the days to Election 2020. Regardless of the results, she suggested, the big “W awaits:

“Six days until the election, and all I’m anticipating no matter who wins is…”

Cue Andrew Breitbart with a one-word warning:

Was her choice of Breitbart and that particular excerpt profoundly purposeful?

As noted by The Daily Caller, the clip comes courtesy of Andrew’s well-known statements against legacy media.

From comments aired at the 2012 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC):

“I am so sick of the media dictating the terms of the narrative in this country. I’m so sick of having to be apologetic for who I am. I’m so sick of people in middle America being called ‘flyover country’ or slope-headed.”

In the trailer for Hating Breitbart, what followed was a montage of MSM-milled condescension.

He continued:

“The Left pits people against each other. Divide and conquer’s the strategy. I don’t want to live in that world. It is the exact opposite of ‘E Pluribus Unum.’”

Whatever Meghan’s intention, some on Twitter took it as a forecasting of physical force.

One user waxed on that dastardly threat sitting squarely in society — conservatives:

“You talking about the civil war Tr*mp supporters are going to wage on the rest of us, starting with whoever they find least worthy of life? Pretty sure that’s happening no matter who wins.”

That got some Amens:

Of course, it also elicited downward thumbs:

And there was this:

One tweeter pined for Biden’s rescue:

That’s in common with Joe — he believes he’s gonna rescue us, too.

As for the threat of violence, clearly, it’s not an altogether fringe concern. For proof, look no further than record-breaking gun sales.

God willing, America will find peace.

In the meantime, the media is in transition. News sites and social media are changing the system, and you’re part of that revolution.

And in the end, hopefully, in the war between objective information and narrative, information will win.
