I have a friend who gets all her news from MSNBC, CNN, and NPR. And I’m constantly perplexed by her misunderstanding of the entire political, legislative, and economic realities of contemporary America.
It’s as if she lives in an alternate universe; she somberly walks the earth, upset about things which do not exist, unaware of things that do.
My confusion lessens just a bit, when I see stories like this. My friend is living in an parallel dimension — the one being constructed by Democratic propaganda channels such as Manufacturing Such Noxious Baloney Constantly.
Case in point: the network’s Tuesday treatment of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
While hosting Texas defense attorney Yodit Tewolde, Brooke Baldwin left unchallenged a downright dishonest comparison of accused Kavanaugh — about whom nothing has been remotely proven — to convicted felon Bill Cosby.
Referencing the recent sentencing of America’s former favorite dad to 3-10 years for sexual assault, Tewolde said it’s hypocritical for anyone to praise the justice of the Cosby outcome while defending the nominee’s right to due process:
“Anyone that’s defending Kavanaugh could not in the same breath now applaud this verdict that the judge has handed down in the same breath. It just doesn’t make any sense.”
Uhhh…
Actually, it does.
Brett Kavanaugh has not been charged with any crime; he has not had a day in court, much less been convicted. A woman has claimed Kavanaugh was sexually aggressive with her at a high school party once; another says she recently realized it was he who once bared his genitals at a college party. NOT THE SAME THING as a man convicted of drugging women in order to have sex with them.
But that’s obvious.
Or is it? Not to Brook Baldwin, who provided no pushback. She simply proceeded to ask another guest about the sentencing.
Thankfully, some people on Twitter called out the host, with one user calling it “a new low” for MSNBC. That rhetoic sounds nice; but let’s be honest: this is more of a consistent low than a new one.
CNN guest compares Bill Cosby's sexual assault conviction to Brett Kavanaugh without any challenge from anchor Brooke Baldwin: "Anyone that's defending Kavanaugh could not in the same breath now applaud this [conviction of Cosby] … it just doesn't make any sense."

CNN Guest just compared Cosby to Kavanaugh:
"A defining moment when you have someone like Cosby going to prison and someone like Kavanaugh going to the highest court in the land. Anyone defending Kavanaugh could not applaud this."
CNN Host stays silent.

National Review’s David French noted the extreme difference between the two:
Cosby = tried and convicted with proof beyond a reasonable doubt.
Kavanaugh = not even the witnesses offered by the accusers can put him at the scene of the alleged crimes.
What. The. Heck.

Over 60 women have accused Bill Cosby of some form of sexual assault. But don’t confuse the Left with the facts, folks. I give you Chelsea Handler:
Bill Cosby is set to serve 3 to 10 years in prison, but when he’s released he’s expected to be nominated to the Supreme Court.

Despite the hoopla, Thursday will hopefully see a resurgence of sanity, as Kavanaugh and accuser Christine Blasey Ford testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Ah, who am I kidding? Everyone will still be flippin’ nuts.
