The southern border, regardless of Kamala Harris's efforts at "controlling the root causes," remains an open wound. Millions have now entered the country illegally, presenting not only a serious economic drain but a major national security risk.
And, as always, the Biden/Harris administration doesn't seem to care much about it. On Tuesday, a New York Post exclusive released details of a Biden/Harris administration program meant to deter illegal immigration — apparently allowing the vast majority of people who enter illegally to remain in the United States.
A signature Biden-Harris administration program to quickly remove families who entered the US illegally is allowing nearly 90% of migrants to stay in the country, new data reveal.
Of 24,000 migrants who were put into the Family Expedited Removal Program since May 2023, more than 22,000 were allowed to stay in the US — and only 2,600 have been deported, a little over 10%.
More than 3,600 migrants have also absconded from the program and are believed to be unaccounted for in the US, according to the internal data.
Add that to the extensive list of people who have entered the country illegally and about whom we know neither where they are now, what they intend to do here, or where they intend to do it. This presents a serious issue, not only for crime but also for national security.

It's become very apparent that this just isn't a priority for the Biden/Harris administration.
“These numbers are further proof that the Biden-Harris administration’s policies have nothing to do with actually securing the border or enforcing the law, but instead masking its utter refusal to do either of those things,” House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-Tenn.) told The Post.
“Such a dismal rate of removals makes clear that President Biden, ‘border czar’ Kamala Harris, and now-impeached DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas are committed to ignoring U.S. immigration law, while attempting to hide that fact from the American people. Ultimately, these individuals have a simple responsibility — detain and remove those who have no lawful basis to remain,” Green added.
The program, which was announced in May 2023, was touted as a way to instill “consequences for unlawful entry to the US” by placing an ankle monitor on an adult family member.
American voters see illegal immigration as a major issue, with 19 percent describing it as the most important issue facing the nation. The southern border and the influx of illegal immigration from all over the world has been not only allowed but facilitated by the Biden/Harris administration, as one can see very plainly by the outcomes of the program described above; 90 percent of illegals detained in the "Family Expedited Removal Program" were not removed, but were instead allowed to stay.
Why? Why are we casually allowing in people whose very first act on crossing our border was to break the law?
This is an issue that plays well for the Trump/Vance campaign. Expect to see both former President Trump and Senator Vance hammering that issue home throughout what remains of the election cycle.
