Fox News personality Greg Gutfeld lambasted Joe Scarborough following the MSNBC host's recent comments suggesting that the debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump was the first time he realized there was an issue with the former president's mental acuity.
Scarborough famously defended Biden before the debate as "far beyond cogent" and told skeptics "F you" for daring to suggest he was suffering a rapid and noticeable decline in cognition.
On Tuesday, Scarborough spoke with Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, who have a new book out titled, “FIGHT: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House."
According to the authors, Democrats had long known of Biden's struggles, even planning for various scenarios that forced him to drop out of his campaign, including, unfortunately, the possibility that he passed away while in office. It was even revealed that Biden had to be led around and directed where to walk by placing neon-colored pieces of tape on the floor.
Scarborough, however, insisted that he didn't see an actionable issue until the debate. You know, the one where Biden went on a meandering monologue about God knows what and ended his thoughts with, “We finally beat Medicare.”
"You know, I remember after Biden’s shockingly bad presidential debate, that’s when, like, the history books were starting, you know, you could just see that was going to be the reason why he was pushed out of the race, and he was doing badly,” the MSNBC stalwart said.
Gutfeld wasn't remotely amused, and he thoroughly raked Scarborough over the coals on Wednesday's edition of "Gutfeld!"

Joe Scarborough Wins the Award for Most Ridiculous Spin on Biden's Cognitive Abilities
“What a convenient opinion to suddenly come up with that now that Biden is long gone,” Gutfeld said through gritted teeth.
"Sorry, Joe, saying the debate was like a shocking reason for Biden's downfall is like saying, 'Oh, I didn't know Hunter Biden was a problem until I saw his artwork," he added. "Keep yakking, you grifter!"
"This guy has always been more full of s**t than a cage full of chimps mainlining Metamucil!"
The insults and one-liners kept coming, rapid-fire-style.
“If Scarborough got within 200 feet of a polygraph machine, it would burst into flames," Gutfeld fumed, adding a very important point that had the media been honest about Biden's condition in the first place, Democrats would have had plenty of time to replace him with somebody other than the equally challenged Kamala Harris.
“The funny thing is, [expletive], if you had just told the truth when it mattered, maybe the Dems would have had time to find a candidate who could actually win an election. Hell, Jimmy Carter was still around at that point. He would have done a better job at that debate!” he posited.
“But he didn’t, so now you have to lie about your lies. But hey, it could always be worse. 'Morning Joe' could be on a network people watch.”
Somebody stop the fight.
For anyone who doesn't recall, Scarborough was one of the most vociferous defenders of former President Biden's mental acuity.
“I’ve said it for years now, he’s cogent. But I undersold him when I said he was cogent. He’s far beyond cogent. In fact, I think he’s better than he’s ever been — intellectually, analytically — because he’s been around for fifty years," he said just a few months before the debate.
So bold was his proclamation that he told viewers “F you if you can’t handle the truth.”
“This version of Biden, intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever,” he stated rather proudly, in defiance of reality.

After the debate, during which Biden often looked bewildered, slurred his words, misstated facts, and lost his train of thought with, as the New York Times said, “mouth agape," Scarborough changed his tune.
This leads you to one of two conclusions—either he was lying about Biden's intellectual state, or he genuinely didn't see it despite hours upon hours of video evidence.
The former speaks to Scarborough's lack of integrity. The latter, his lack of intelligence.
