On Monday, the White House put up posters on the lawn of 100 illegal aliens who had been arrested, with crimes they reportedly committed listed under their faces. It was a visual display of the work they had done to solve the big problem of illegal aliens left by Joe Biden.
It also had another side benefit. The posters were placed right where the media generally did their "hits" from the White House, so reporters would have the posters in the background. MSNBC realized that, reported it, and initially showed the faces on the posters. But they weren't happy about it. One of their guests, the CEO of Voto Latino, María Teresa Kumar, suggested that the media should blur the faces.

While MSNBC showed the faces when they initially ran the story, you can see they blurred the faces in this post on TikTok.

It wasn't only MSNBC. CNN blurred the faces, too. Here's Jake Tapper's sarcastic take on the posters.

"The Trump administration is approaching its first 100-day mark with a full-court press on the issue of illegal immigration, and they really don't want you to miss it," he said. Then he started the sarcastic spin against the Trump team.
"They subtly and tastefully decked the White House north lawn with dozens of yard signs featuring the photos of people that the Trump administration claims are in the country illegally," he said sarcastically. He said they were "working to confirm the identities and if there are actual allegations against these people."
First, this isn't reporting, this is activism and taking a side. It's perfectly normal for media to run mugshots of people who have been arrested. So what they're really doing with this spot is trying to cast doubt on what the White House is saying, instead of just reporting, "Here's what the White House did." When MSNBC calls the illegal aliens "unauthorized migrants," that's also not properly reporting the issue.
They're so obsessed with jabbing at Trump that they won't properly cover the issue, the crimes, or how the failure to deal with the issue before Trump has affected the American people. So, whose side are they on when they do things like this? Not the side of the American people who want action.
However, the effort to stomp on the story resulted in the Streisand Effect.
Since they were so intent on blurring the faces, more attention was paid to the story, with people sharing the posters all over X. On top of that, people were slamming CNN for its hot take and bias.

It shows once again that the Trump administration is doing the job, but the media doesn't want to fairly cover the problem.
