John Kerry Gets Hilariously Triggered When He's Reminded Who Was in Charge When Russia Annexed Crimea

Have you ever wondered why there was such a difference between the Obama administration's response to the invasion and annexation of Crimea versus the Biden team's response to the later invasion of Ukraine?

The first earned a weaselly, meek response, the latter earned money without end in support.

The Ukrainians couldn't even get Javelins from Barack Obama, they had to wait for President Donald Trump to get that help. So it was rather hilarious when MSNBC's Chris Jansing reminded John Kerry, Obama's Secretary of State, who was in charge when Crimea was annexed.

Jansing spoke with Kerry at the Vatican on Saturday before Pope Francis' funeral. It sounds like Kerry didn't expect to get any real questions from MSNBC. It was just a statement of fact. But Kerry had trouble dealing with it. Talk about thin-skinned.

"You were Secretary of State when Russia annexed Crimea," Jansing said. "And I want to ask you.."

"When they stated they were," Kerry interrupted. "We did not allow them to annex it. And we stood and we stood up against it and called it against international law."

"Right," Jansing agreed. "They said it."

"Yeah, they said it, but under international law, that does not make it theirs," Kerry said.

They did not allow them to annex it? Um, John? The Russians annexed it. Sure, you objected, but what did you do to stop it? Issue words? Write strongly worded letters? The reality is that they annexed it.

But this is such a classic Democrat response. Reality is only what we accept. It's not real if we "didn't allow" them. It's like turning reality on its head by claiming a judge is defending "due process"...by allegedly obstructing an arrest of an illegal alien.

What Kerry said about Trump trying to bring the war to an end was a bit shocking, however, since he praised Trump.

"I applaud the president for pursuing this. I know he’s dogged about it. He wants to have peace. I believe that, and I wish him well in their efforts to try to get there. It’s a tough task, but it’s doable. And I think it’s really important for the administration to continue to work at it," Kerry added.

I think that's less about Trump and more about Kerry always being anti-war. But still a bit surprising.

Kerry was just a horrible Secretary of State, and how much money has he wasted over the past few years being Joe Biden's climate czar, flying around in a private plane?

It's so great to see that these people are no longer in power.
