This Is Hard to Believe: The Price Joe Biden Demands for Speaking Fee

I don't know who thinks it's a good idea that Joe Biden wants to come " back" and get more involved again. You would think his handlers would have sense and just say "Enough" and time for retirement.

We're already seeing how badly the "coming back" is working out: making weird remarks about "colored kids," confusing Ukraine and Iraq, and even dropping his ice cream on the ground.

Joe Biden Delivers Social Security Speech in Chicago...and It's Everything You Might Imagine

But if you thought that was already nuts, you ain't heard nothing yet. Guess how much Joe Biden (or his handlers) wants you to pay him if you book him to make a speech and stumble through a few remarks?

A source familiar with Biden’s faltering speaking career said that the 46th president’s standard pitch is $300,000 — 25% below Barack Obama’s $400,000 asking price upon leaving office in 2017.

It’s unclear how negotiable Biden’s rate is.

That's not all you have to provide if you book Biden,

If travel is required, a private jet and expenses for five staffers also is expected for Biden, who has been repped since early February by the Creative Artists Agency.

Who the heck is going to pay that? Does anyone really want Biden that much? Where is the market for this?

The source told the NY Post, “CAA [Biden's 'talent' agency] is having trouble booking gigs, which isn’t surprising."

Yet despite the obvious problems, "a second source said they heard people close to Biden floating an even higher desired fee." Really? Is that Jill? Now that Biden is no longer in office, their sources of income are probably drying up.

Harvard said they didn't pay him that. He was there as the guest of one of his long-time aides, Mike Donilon, who is a fellow at the school.

Some of Biden's people are thinking he should hang it up already, particularly after the "colored kids" remark.

“This was hard to watch,” said one former White House official. “It felt like seeing someone you care about start to regress. We just wanted him to enjoy retirement like other presidents — not go out like this.”

The ex-aide noted that minority staffers had been growing disillusioned even during Biden’s presidency.

“Black people elected Joe Biden, and then his senior team cut them off, even staff hired to help with engagement,” this person said.

Oh. That sounds like that should have come out before this. But Biden has always had issues with race. I'm not sure who on the senior team were cutting off black people. Add one more thing that we weren't being told.

Seriously, who wants to hear from him? What does he even have to say at this point, and would it even be coherent? How is he relevant in any way? Can't his handlers put aside the desire to pocket money for even a second and think about maybe this isn't what he should be doing, that he should not be out there embarrassing himself?
