Democrats are at sea now trying to deal with President Donald Trump and his team and all the things they are doing. If they were smart they would try to join them in and take credit for getting some things done for the people.
But they're so used to attacking him and they don't seem to know how to switch from being the "resistance."
That's why you have crazy attacks from people like Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), who blamed Trump for plane crashes including the small plane crash that happened in Georgia. No mention of the people killed, just straight to the hateful, political attack on Trump. No evidence of how he was to blame when he's only been in office a month, but hey, Democrats don't seem to care about actual facts.

Then there was the former Biden Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg. He posted this:
The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?
— Pete Buttigieg (@PeteButtigieg) February 17, 2025
It's interesting that suddenly we seem to be hearing more from Buttigieg when he was the Secretary. But it's incredibly ironic that he's talking now while there had been problems for years that he did not fix.
The new Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, was having none of Pete's nonsense. He detailed the mess Buttigieg left and what they were doing to resolve it.
Mayor Pete failed for four years to address the air traffic controller shortage and upgrade our outdated, World War II-era air traffic control system. In less than four weeks, we have already begun the process and are engaging the smartest minds in the entire world.
Here’s the truth: the FAA alone has a staggering 45,000 employees. Less than 400 were let go, and they were all probationary, meaning they had been hired less than a year ago. Zero air traffic controllers and critical safety personnel were let go.
Mayor Pete chose to use this amazing department—that is so critical to America’s success—as a slush fund for the green new scam and environmental justice nonsense. Not to mention that over 90% of the workforce under his leadership were working from home - including him. The building was empty!
When we finally get a full accounting of his mismanagement, I look forward to hearing from him.In the meantime, I will not rest until I return the Department of Transportation and its incredible employees to its mission of efficiency and safety.
Boom. That's the reality that Buttigieg can't get around. He failed. There were all sorts of issues he didn't fix. It takes real temerity to try to attack or blame the Trump team particularly under those circumstances.
As we reported, Duffy is also consulting the SpaceX folks to help out in terms of seeing what can be done to reform the system.
Duffy has had to hit the ground running because of the mess he was left with to clear up. But he's doing it and hopefully that means the long-terms issues that have existed at the FAA will now finally be resolved.
