We previously reported how Spotify had weighed in on the controversy being pushed by the left about Joe Rogan. While they said that they were now going to be putting a content label on any discussions involving COVID, they also made it clear without even mentioning him that they weren’t getting rid of Rogan, despite the push from the left.
Now Rogan has also weighed in and he showed exactly why more people are listening to his show than media like CNN. He’s humble, he’s looking for the truth, and he’s real. He’s not pushing a narrative. Unlike the media that would like to do him in.
Rogan said he was speaking to the issue because some people were pushing a “distorted perception of what I do.”

He said the issue centered primarily around two episodes — where he had on Dr. Robert Malone and then another where he had on Dr. Peter McCullough, both of whom were “very highly credentialed, very intelligent, very accomplished” but who had opinions “that’s different from the mainstream narrative. I wanted to hear what their opinion is. I had them on and because of that, those episodes, in particular, those episodes were labeled as being ‘dangerous,’ they had ‘dangerous misinformation’ in them.”
“The problem I have with the term misinformation – especially today – is that many of the things that we thought of as misinformation just a short while ago are now accepted as fact, like for instance, if you said eight months ago, you can still catch COVID, and you can still spread COVID, you’d be removed from social media. They would ban you from certain platforms. Now, that’s accepted as fact.” He also noted that if you previously had talked about cloth masks not working that you would be banned from social media, but now that is openly stated on CNN. If you talked about the possibility of the lab leak theory, you might be banned he said. Now, it’s on the cover of Newsweek.
Rogan said he may get things wrong, but “I try to correct them.” “Because I’m interested in telling the truth, I’m interested in finding out what the truth is.” He said that he didn’t have an issue with the Spotify putting an advisory on the podcasts pointing to more information. That’s not cutting off what he’s saying, but pointing to more information.
Now, that’s Rogan — he’s straight up and honest. He wants more information, not less. You would never see someone be that humble on CNN. You see CNN constantly trying to attack Fox. Right there is why people watch/listen to him and not CNN. Because they don’t care about the truth, while he’s honestly looking for it. Because his response is so reasonable, that makes the media and the left who attack him look even more like idiots. They fail, desperately, in their characterization of him.
The problem, though, is that it isn’t really about misinformation. The very nature of his show disturbs them because it isn’t in line with the narrative. The very nature of his search for truth is necessarily in conflict with their effort to obscure the truth. The left is going to look at the response from Spotify and believe if they yell loud enough they’re going to get some attention and some movement, and as I noted last night, this isn’t going to assuage the left because Rogan is still there.
