There are a lot of harmful things that Democrats are trying to get through the Congress, now that they have control.
But one of the worst bills is one that means big trouble for all of us — and for this country.
That’s the H.R. 1 voting bill, the ironically named “For the People Act,” because never was any bill less “for the people” and more about Democrats trying to cement their own power over us forever.
If you think that the things they did in 2020 were problematic; oh, just wait until you get to this bill. We all need to be up in arms over this one.
Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) was up in arms over it today on “Fox and Friends.”
Written by ‘the devil himself’: Mike Lee slams ‘For the People’ voting expansion bill https://t.co/L5CrjowxB6

“I think I disagree with every single word in H.R. 1 including the words ‘but,’ ‘and’ and ‘the,'” Lee explained. “Everything about this bill is rotten to the core. This is a bill, as if written in Hell by the Devil himself,” Lee said, slamming it.
One of the things that makes our system unique, and harder for any one party to screw with, is the fact that our elections are controlled on the local level. This bill takes away that local control, and basically imposes Congressional control. Lee explained that, by concentrating that power in Washington, “bad things are going to happen.”
“It takes all sorts of decisions that the federal government really has no business making,” Lee detailed including things like voter registration which are, right now, decided by the states. Under this bill, it would require all those problematic things Democrats have pushed to influence elections and remove voter protections across the country.
It would mandate things like automatic voter registration, same-day registration, online voter registration, and no-fault absentee balloting, allowing mail-in voting by virtually anyone, accepting mail-in ballots up to ten days after the election, ballot harvesting as well as banning voter ID and further eroding security protocols on elections. If it passes, good-bye to any fair election ever again. All the bad things that people were concerned about in the 2020 election would be implemented as a formal requirements imposed on the states across the country.
Here’s a good list you can read at Heritage, that goes into detail about a lot of the problems.
Lee said the purpose is “apparently in an effort to ensure an institutional revolutionary Democratic Party of sorts, one that can remain in power for many decades to come.” He also called it “wildly unconstitutional.” The whole purpose of the Constitution was decentralization to prevent against such concentrations of power. But Democrats want to flip all that on its head; now that they have power, they are going to do everything they can to keep it. If people don’t see it and stand against it, the Democrats may just succeed.
