Now That's Funny! Former Funnyman Jimmy Kimmel's Ridiculous Theory on Why Trump Won the Election

In this episode of "You Can't Make It Up, The Left Already Did"...

ABC's former funnyman Jimmy Kimmel recently sat down for an exclusive interview with ûber-left Rolling Stone, in which he offered his latest theory on why President Donald Trump thoroughly shellacked Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

It's unintentional comedy gold, but before we get to it, it's also hilarious that the left still can't wrap its collective smug brains around the fact that a record number of Democrats — including Black and Hispanic voters — crossed party lines to vote for Trump. The left also can't get a grip on the notion that untold numbers of former Democrat voters voted as much to reject radical policies of a Democrat Party with which they no longer identify as to actually support Trump.

Yep, on the left, the reality hasn't set in — and it never will. Let's hope not, anyway.

Now, let's get to the insufferable Mr. Kimmel, whose self-importance as a left-wing **checks notes** comedian is off the Looney Tune charts.

In a nutshell, Kimmel told Rolling Stone that liberals "attacking comedians" over their "jokes" is a "big reason" Trump beat Harris. I know — but he really said that, and no doubt believes it.

Kimmel told the outlet:

I don’t put limits on what I laugh at. But for me personally, as I’ve grown older, as I’ve matured, I won’t make a joke that I wouldn’t make if a person of that color or persuasion was in the room. That’s how I look at it. I think a lot of the outrage is completely manufactured, and it’s like, a lot of these people who are angry aren’t really angry. I think these liberals who’ve done such a good job of viciously attacking comedians are a big part of the reason why Trump is the president right now.

Did you follow that fairy-tale bilge? Me, neither.

Kimmel explained he believes the American people are fed up with being told what they are allowed to think is funny. Perhaps, Jimbo, but people are really fed up with being told what they must support and what they can't criticize. Anyway, here's more:

I just think human beings in general, when you see something that makes you laugh and you see a bunch of other people laughing, and then somebody steps in with their arms folded and goes, ‘That’s not funny, and here’s why that’s not funny,’ it just doesn’t give you a good feeling about a person. And you want to say to that person, ‘Lighten up.'

Delusional at best; an intentional crock of crap at its worst.

Kimmel failed to mention the left's histrionic reaction to, say, Fox News host Greg Gutfeld hilariously torching the left on a regular basis. Other examples abound. The hypocrisy of the left is so hardwired that they can't see it. Thing is, a majority of Americans do see it.

Kimmel also managed to utter a bit of truth — albeit for the wrong reasons:

There’s no black and white when it comes to comedy. There is no line. The line is different for every person. Dave Chappelle can say things that somebody else might not be able to. I don’t think anybody should be canceled. I really don’t.

Turns out I'm a big fan of Dave Chappelle, and to Kimmel's point, Chappelle is an equal opportunity offender, yet without malice or bitterness. Can Kimmel say the same thing about himself? Or Stephen Colbert? Seth Meyers? Hollywood? Please, Jimmy — your hypocrisy is showing.

Kimmel also went off on Elon Musk in the interview, deriding the de facto head of Trump's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) after Musk called for civility following a wave of domestic terrorist attacks — yes, they were domestic terrorist attacks — on Tesla dealerships, firebombing Tesla Cybertrucks, scratching or painting swastikas on Teslas, and even stopping Tesla owners in traffic and haranguing them.

“Well, let me see if I can explain it for you,” said Kimmel. “When you pull out a chainsaw to celebrate firing thousands of people, they get mad. My God. I mean, this poor guy. You do one, maybe two Nazi salutes, everybody gets all bent out of shape!”

How hilarious. Just kidding — that's exactly who Jimmy Kimmel is.

Musk responded by calling Kimmel “an unfunny jerk.”

Musk was right — and then some.
