Noted Climatologist Barbra Streisand Predictably Blames California Wildfires on Climate Change

Hollywood has-been Barbra Streisand predictably declared on Thursday that the strong winds and raging wildfires across Los Angeles County are “due to climate change” and promptly demanded that “this coming government better address” it.

In a post on the left-wing echo chamber Bluesky, Babs wrote:

These horrible winds I think are the strongest we’ve ever experienced and a lot of that is due to climate change which this coming government better address!

I'll gleefully address the "better address it" part in a bit.

Streisand has continued to howl at the moon since her above post, absurdly praising out-going President Joe Biden and trashing incoming President Donald Trump in several Bluesky posts.

Trump doesn’t care about California because he didn't win the electoral college here. We need a president who supports every state. Not just the red states!

We will miss President Biden’s commitment and compassion during these difficult times. He knows that in times of national crisis, we are not divided by political parties.

I know the fear/anxiety of evacuations and waiting to see what happens to your home in natural disasters. Some of my dear friends/colleagues have now lost their homes. I am grateful for their lives and the incredibly brave work of the LAFD. My heart breaks for all my neighbors and our beloved city.

The singer and former Hollywood star has long been a climate activist — and a blatantly hypocritical one at that.

In July 2019, Streisand separately flew her dogs on a 10,000-mile roundtrip to watch her perform at London’s Hyde Park. Yep, Babs had her poodles, Miss Scarlet, Miss Violet, and Fanny, waiting backstage in a custom dog buggy, along with a VIP escort. But, hey — protecting the climate is for the little people, you know. Just ask other climate scolds, including Al Gore, John Kerry, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

'This Coming Government Better Address' It!

Problem is that Babs is barking up the wrong political tree.

Why didn't Biden's "commitment and compassion" better "address" alleged anthropomorphic climate change during his four miserable years in office? After all, old Joe is among the climate scolds who regularly warned us that "climate change is the existential threat to mankind."

And why hasn't Newsom proactively prepared for "the big one," only to now deflect and pass the buck?

As RedState reported, Newsom briefly spoke to the media on Wednesday, and when asked by CNN's Anderson Cooper why there wasn't sufficient available water to fight the deadly fires, the always-smug governor immediately passed the buck, incredibly claiming that "the local folks are gonna figure that out."

That's leadership for you — California Democrat-style.

Streisand isn't the only Hollywooder blaming climate change (and conservatives) for the devastating fires. One of the best and most hilarious examples comes from director Jim Jarmusch, who not only blamed the raging fires on “climate deniers”; he also blamed "corporate greed."

I know — try to control your shock and amazement.

This climate crisis is brought to you by climate deniers and venal corporate greed. We’re in a period where these clowns are telling [us] that woke is a negative thing, and I would just like to say it’s time we wake the f*** up.

Ironically, Jarmusch's ridiculous rant proved exactly why the rational among us view "woke" as a "negative thing."

In contrast, a host of Hollywood celebrities have lashed out at Newsom, directly blaming him for the fires that have leveled huge areas of Los Angeles County, including some of their multi-million-dollar homes.

Here's more:

During an appearance on "The Joe Rogan Experience," actor Mel Gibson, who lives in Malibu, discussed the "inferno" engulfing his neighborhood and other areas in and around Los Angeles before the discussion quickly turned to politics.

Said Gibson:

In 2019, I think Newsom said, 'You know, I'm going to take care of the forest and maintain the forest, all of that kind of stuff,'" said Gibson. "He didn't do anything ... And then I think all our tax dollars probably went for Gavin's hair gel ... It's sad. It's like, the place is just on fire.

Gibson added that Newsom was responsible for San Francisco becoming "apocalyptic" and "a mess" because homeless people live there before suggesting that civilization itself might soon "cave in and collapse."

And actor James Woods, who this week lost his home in the fires, also blasted Newsom, as well as Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.

It took mere hours for the ineptitude of Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass to render  the Pacific Palisades a scorched wasteland. To rebuild will be a gargantuan task. The first necessary step must be to recall these two worthless political hacks.

Bingo. All counts. And then some.

Meanwhile, the devastating wildfires, now in their fourth day, continue to burn in Los Angeles County, with at least 10 people having been killed and roughly 10,000 buildings destroyed. So far, that is.

It's time to wake up, California Democrat voters. That is, if it isn't already too late.
